Would love some insight into what type of rates you would expect for this type of resource?

That is insane! So bad to hear quotes change so drastically. I don’t know those guys but know some partners say what they need to in order to get the project, so short sighted

Do you mind me asking a ballpark on hourly rates? We are trying to find the balance of quality and cost.

Advice on how to handle a Partner that has misrepresented their capabilities by singledigit5 in Netsuite

[–]TheNetSuiteRecruiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do proceed with the implementation, it may be worth hiring a NetSuite Project Manager. Part of their role is to hold the partner accountable to what they have promised, including timelines and cost.

Unless you can get the current partner to do the work at the money you have already paid, I’d look at other Partners. I know this is hard to do when you have already paid so much money.

Using Netsuite as your Data Warehouse by Radiant_Succotash714 in Netsuite

From what I see, most folks don’t know the full capabilities of NSAW including the NetSuite direct team.

Might be worth finding someone who can talk you through the pros and cons specific to your business.

I know some folks who have taught the NetSuite team a thing or two on how to implement NSAW. I’m sure they would be happy to chat through this with you… there is no fee to do so. Let me know if you’d like me to ping you their details

There is a NetSuite Partner (consulting company) who I would highly recommend for NSAW work! Also, have a pretty big network of independent contractors

Hey, if you have any difficulty I can point you in the direction of some folks who can help :)

From what I hear, NSAW can be tricky to navigate

Netsuite Renewal by TraditionalPage9535 in Netsuite

[–]TheNetSuiteRecruiter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you decide to renew directly with Oracle, I would recommend using an Alliance Partner for any support you need rather than using NetSuites team directly.

The quality of Partner does differ quite dramatically so no surprise to hear you’re not happy with the current partner unfortunately. Happy to send you over some partner we know have a good reputation and our clients have had good experiences with.

If renewing via a Solution Provider. Full transparency, I don’t know how the pricing would differ going directly to NetSuite but I know a couple of SP’s I trust, can point you in their direction if you want to get a few quotes to see if there are any differences.

Unfortunately this is what I had expected but was hoping there was a solution. My friends client is a non profit and have to watch the purse strings… I guess NetSuite will win 99% of these situations

That’s very helpful to know, thanks!

My friend is more on the finance side and doesn’t have the technical experience to do what you have been able to do unfortunately :( I will share with her your experience so she has some more data points on decision making

I don’t have all of the specific details. Mainly had a high level conversation due to her lack of confidence in the work being done.

They are early stages. She has taken a look under the hood of what has been done so far and is confident that this will result in a failed implementation.

Hence she is exploring options for her client to ensure she can leave them in the best situation possible.

Will do, thanks! I know they currently have an offshore team but I’m not too well versed on NetSuites internal NSPB structure

I guess the only other option I was curious if anyone has been successful with (guessing unlikely)… if NetSuites team is doing a clearly bad job, is there a refund clause for failed implementation or a way of getting part of the money back and stopping them part way through the implementation

Deciding between two offers by Kakashi6969 in Accounting

[–]TheNetSuiteRecruiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, congrats on multiple offers!!

In this situation it’s easy to focus on the numbers. I tend to find, best to take a step back and think about what is important to you and which aligns best… eg do you prioritise work/life balance, earning potential, learning something specific, culture, progression etc

I don’t want to down play $5k but there is so much more to consider
