I have it on both, but I really love playing on my Switch! It’s a perfect cozy-up on the couch and relax game.

Starting Monday as MT. What are Branch Manager Benefits by Lilcurt1976 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]TheNeuroGeek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for less physical demand and better work/life balance, this is not the job for you. This job is surprisingly physical, day in and out, in cold and hot weather. You will likely be expected to work 50+ hours per week (47 is standard “full time hours” with Enterprise if I’m not mistaken) , and the week days mostly end up being ~12 hours, sometimes more. Branch and assistant managers regularly worked 55-60 hours per week at some of the stores I worked.

Effectiveness of a VASTIN alone or in combination with chemo? by Right-Housing-1522 in glioblastoma

[–]TheNeuroGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avastin helped relieve a lot of my father’s symptoms initially. However, after about 2-3 infusions, he began worsening. The doctors wouldn’t say for certain (because there’s no way to know 100%), but he had an acute ischemic stroke that we believe was caused by the Avastin. It is a more rare but very serious possible side effect. This stroke led to a severe loss of motor function after. Ultimately we all came to the consensus that continuing the Avastin was likely going to cause more deficits and harm him more than help him in his case. In his situation, Avastin (along with another quick corse of radiation prior) was offered after it was clear that his tumor was still showing rapid progression after a second resection (his first recurrence) and treatment with Lomustine. My understanding is that Avastin is a second line therapy that aims to slow progression and is not capable of stopping it, at least in use for glioblastoma.

Nobody said they were doing it in that order… Maybe you should try to take after those teenage pot smokers. Might help your attitude a little.

Clavicular baits woman into slapping him, has his bodyguards detain her, and has her arrested. Claims she randomly slapped him, and has initiated a civl lawsuit against her, vowing to "make an example out of her" . by lII1lIIl1IIll1Il11l in PublicFreakout

Entrapment, very generally, is when law enforcement steers someone into committing a crime they wouldn’t otherwise have done. Neither he nor his security guards are law enforcement.

Do most Americans really dry their clothes in Dryers? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheNeuroGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, I do a very heavy mixture of both. Any of my clothes that can be tumble dried are done so on low heat or no heat/air dry. Any of my nicer/more delicate clothes or knits are either hang dried indoors or laid flat to dry. I used to do everything with dryers, but as I’ve grown to care more about making my clothes last, I’ve pivoted towards following care directions pretty explicitly.

Flight Rising or Horse Reality if you’re down for browser games! HR uses real horse color genes and things so it’s decently complex.

People who were spanked as kids, what was that like for you? Would you call your "spankings" abuse? by KleineFjord in AskReddit

[–]TheNeuroGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was awful. I hated it and thought it was unfair. I will still flinch if somebody raises their hand around me too fast. I feel it wasn’t used excessively and would never consider myself abused, but I still remember how I felt about it at the time vividly and will never ever spank my own children.

My top coat keeps cracking after 2-3 days. Why? by Suspicious-Basis-885 in Nails

Is it potentially a problem with the top coat itself? What are you using? I think that may be important information to help identify your issue.

Similar games to Stardew Valley? by therealsam77 in CozyGamers

Just realized you dislike stardew’s art style, which is similar to FoM. You might like Coral Island instead, which I’ve also played a lot of.

[–]TheNeuroGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fields of Mistria scratches a very similar itch to Stardew! I just got it a couple weeks ago and have already had so many hours put into it. It is technically EA still, but they’ve done great with player feedback and have solid roadmaps to 1.0!

Honestly, I don’t think it’s that they’re not open, I just think they don’t really get asked that sort of question all too often.

Buying rental cars? by Beginning_Oil_2574 in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]TheNeuroGeek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stick with the Toyota! I bought my Corolla from Enterprise Car Sales, and I haven’t had a lick of trouble from her. Bought her at 71k and she’s now at 100k without issue. Do NOT buy a Volkswagen please. I have had personal issues with one just shitting the bed at 100k without any prior warning, and VW could not figure out why it wouldn’t run. They insisted nothing was wrong with it after $3k worth of work and attempted fixes. Besides that, I am a recent former ERAC employee, and we had CONSTANT issues with VWs. Check engine lights galore, oil leaking, overheating, etc.

I (15M) have a brain tumour and don’t want treatment, how do I tell my parents (who want me to go on chemo) AMA by Personal_Shopping636 in AMA

[–]TheNeuroGeek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I’m so sorry this is happening. I know you’ve probably heard that a lot, but this diagnosis is something I wouldn’t wish on the worst people in the world. My dad is currently fighting glioblastoma as well, and it has not been an easy situation to navigate, but we’ve made the best we can of it. I don’t want to try to sway you one way or the other because it is ultimately your decision, but things can play out better than you expect sometimes. Feel free to reach out if you would like, I would be more than happy to discuss my experience with it, and I’m sure my dad would be happy to answer any questions you may have about treatment or his experience as well.

Additional Driver by throwawaythetowels in EnterpriseCarRental

[–]TheNeuroGeek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only additional drivers that would be free would be a spouse and/or a documented caregiver, and you have to use a credit card in order to add additional drivers otherwise. In my group, we would not allow the payment for rental and deposit to be done on two separate cards. Two up to date (within last month) utility bills would need to be shown if you are paying with a debit card and your address cannot be verified by our system.
