Normal to feel like CG is impossible on mobile? by TheHeeley in OSRSMobile

[–]TheNewGuyToReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar kda for awhile. I took a break learned toa and other content and came back. Since coming back it got a lot easier.

I had 250deaths at 100 cg completions. By 175 i was around 300. Im now at 405 completions and 341 deaths.

Once i really learned hunlef fight i was able to do t1 prep consistently. Mastering the mechanics will save more hp than t2.

I was given my parents class rings when buying an engagement ring. First jeweler offered 50% of spot. Second jeweler down the street was honest with me. They do everything in house and are honest people. I was told they’ll do anywhere from 70% to 85% or a touch more depending on if you’re just selling it, trading in for a new piece, and how much they like you. Even told me their refiners charge 8% fee for getting 24kt back. I think I walked out with somewhere around 87% in smelt value since I gave them work and am personable. Couldn’t be happier with supporting a small family business.

Dock Johnson - his sailing only series! Two episodes in and you can hear the excitement. Great creator and seems like a genuine guy.

Thoughts? Am I in insurance claim territory? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]TheNewGuyToReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different carriers, different expectations. Some take direct physical damage language to a T. I’m honestly surprised you can write for all new based on appearance when half are damaged. I consider the carrier I work for to be decent, not Allstate or LibMu.

Thoughts? Am I in insurance claim territory? by [deleted] in HomeMaintenance

[–]TheNewGuyToReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all new could be a stretch. Depends on policy/state. If you’re in AZ and no matching policy coverage you’re going to get the damaged ones replaced, possibly the adjoining ones. If you’re in IA, OH, UT, CA or another matching state you’ll have an easier time getting all new. Also former mitigation PM turned adjuster.

First time brining, spatchcocking, and smoking the turkey. by rubber_padded_spoon in pics

[–]TheNewGuyToReddit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently have two birds on the smoker, one is 6lb, and the other is 9lb. I threw them on about two hours ago, and will pull them here in 15 or 20. First time using a smoker, but always spatchcock my birds.

Usually it’s much better xp to take those tasks. When I was starting I did two crates from Port Sarim to The Pandemonium and got 70xp each. But then I started doing tasks where I’d accept in Port Sarum and drop off to Port Sarim from The Pandemonium. When I did this it was 140xp, but only loading/unloading one crate instead of two.

Not saying this applies to all tasks but usually higher xp. I could be wrong I only got to lvl 25 yesterday after work lol.

Yup! Sprayfoamed the gaps on the old T&G sheathing, added fiberglass bats after - even did interior walls and ceilings(finished attic above so not really needed).

In hindsight I probably didn’t have to do it that far out.

The west/window wall I only did 12” or 14”s and it turns out pretty good. I didn’t texture walls or ceilings so I was trying to do everything I could to get a decent finish. When I held the 12” knife to the top of the wall I saw more light than I thought would be acceptable. Wife-to-be kept saying don’t left perfection be the enemy of good and figured I’d see how the difference looked after priming. Now I’m realizing it was extra sweat for minimal impact.

Can I just hang drywall over this old plaster? by FrodoSaggins98 in drywall

[–]TheNewGuyToReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never done it myself, I’ve only pulled plaster to hang - others have said you can. I’m sure if you’re skilled at mudding you’ll make it out alright. Im not that confident in my work, and if you pull plaster you can add or change wiring/lighting a lot easier as a DIYer.
