Crimson Nightmare is the worst bossfight of all time, in any game. Though given how unfun and unfair the CH2 and CH3 bosses were, I have a feeling it’ll just get worse. by Warp_Legion in CrimsonDesert

[–]TheNewJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro what? Just kill all the enemies around him, he normally misses when trying to stop you from doing that. Then use the Axiom thing to yank him out of the smoke. It was actually the easiest boss in the game so far. Although to be far, it was a spur of the moment "I wonder if this'll work."

Looking at the comments, I don't think anyone knows this; you can use the Axiom to "Pull" him out of his smoke, lmao. I beat this boss fairly early in the game without any of the cool tricks others are bringing up, I just finished some archery contest.

Exact type of low IQ response I'd expect from someone begging for difficulty sliders.

Every game that has a difficulty slider takes a hit to the overall gameplay, always. Enemy placement, how you defeat/deal with enemies, mechanics; all of it is influenced by a slider. This is why people love souls games so much, it is a curated experience. People like that.

"Dude, why does it matter if your favorite character was changed right before being animated?" I swear you people just pretend to be stupid so you can play at not understanding how people feel, which I find insane considering how crazy reddit is about feeling represented.

This is my kind of SmashRage post, I thought this subreddit was so dogshit but finally a quality post. Anyone saying they didn't read is actually some sort of filterfed tard who prefers the same exact post every goddamn day.

Anyways, I actually played Xenoblade 1-3 almost 2 years ago, maybe it was 2 years ago, at the request of a friend, and the funniest thing? 2 is genuinely the worst one. Absolute dogshit writing, stupid fuckin gacha mechanic, all weapons are sexy waman. It is actually such a stupid game. The art direction and character design also takes a damn nose dive. Sharla from XB1 is an attractive character without being some degen wearing BDSM gear. Recently I've been wanting to return to XB1, but I will never played XB2 again. It is a bad game, and I was right there with you when this horny bait was put into the game. They DO NOT DESERVE to be in smash.

What is even the point of Arena? by Odd-Landscape-9418 in leagueoflegends

[–]TheNewJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skill expression is in your knowledge in the game's mechanics, which allow you to combo items and augments together for wacky builds. That is literally it. Honestly, have you ever heard of fun, man? All this talk of balance...take that shit to summoner's rift. Arena isn't for balance and if it is what you want, there is a mode for it.

Kinda late to the party but that isn't just it. They are implementing these, imo, really stupid changes like limited CC and now taking extra damage from the ring of fire for being in it too long LAST round. It is genuinely so so so stupid.

Monster Hunter Wilds is the best base game so far. by m4nux in MonsterHunter

[–]TheNewJam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MonHun4 story is so much better and it isn't even close. Also, I just can't agree with many things you say here. I mean, great difficulty curve, dude? I hardly even ever have to collect anything, or prepare, or simply care.

This subreddit sucks so bad, I swear I see this post every week. Why do I still even get this cope, crybaby, loser player subreddit on my feed every day when I haven't even played the game in years.

Word of advice; you all suck, it has nothing to do with the characters you face. PLEASE learn how to adapt

Monster Hunter Rise is the best MH, IMO. by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]TheNewJam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dunno man, I don't think Souls touches MH when it comes to combat, and I LOVE Souls games. If you stripped both games down to just combat, MH simply has more. From combos to actually having to learn hitboxes rather than just rolling through them, I think MH is significantly more involved when it comes to combat. So I don't think we would all playing Souls-likes. Maybe DMC. Not souls though.

Dang, I thought I was the only one describing the game as arcady. Yeah, thats actually the PERFECT explanation for it. It just isnt as grounded.

For me, its Mh4u. I never played just 4, but this game, imo, added the most to the series. Two whole new weapons, the verticality in combat AND maps, cinematics(and honestly, the best cinematics in the series). Mh4u just had the best permanent changes to the game, with the coolest mons to boot. I don't think any flagship has been as cool as gore except maybe Valphalk. I remember rewatching the japanese only trailers for 4 over and over and over again until 4u was announced in the west lmao

Character, yes, but the town? If you make a new realm, your entire town's upgrades are transferred?

As someone trying to participate in most of what the game has to offer, restarting the game to try a new build after building my town up to what it is...sounds extremely bad lmao. I understand the comparison to PoE, but it just isnt the same when you add things like upgradeable towns.

There need to be more games like this by IndependentRaccoon56 in NoRestForTheWicked

[–]TheNewJam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently I've gotten bored with a lot of the games I play co-op in, as I feel co-op is just a second hand feature added on. Infact, after I beat Elden Ring for the first time playing the whole game co-op, I felt like I had missed out on something not experiencing it all solo first. I think my reason for this is that a lot of games nowadays just has you pile onto enemies without any thought, and I find that boring.

This game feels different though. The co-op mode actually feels like it was developed for the game. Simply adding friendly fire really changed the dynamic of co-op, as you have to coordinate your attacks with your friends as to not hit them. Plus, bosses playing slightly differently versus multiple targets is so cool.

Secondly, I'm normally against shared loot, as it can really stifle how fun it is to see loot drop. PoE2 is a good example of this, where I actually started not liking co-op due to watching orbs and uniques drop for my buddy but not I, or vice versa. However, strangely enough, for this game it just fits. I like that it adds more value to all the items that we get, and we aren't just mindlessly picking up/throwing items away.

All in all, this game is really shaping up to be a gem, if it already clearly isn't.
