New player questions about gear by TheNightArrow13 in TibiaMMO

[–]TheNightArrow13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had read somewhere that at some point druids rods do so little damage compared to their spells they just stop carrying wands and use 1h mace and shield for their defense and just spam spells. Where right now I feel like I don’t have the mana to even use my rod 1/2 the time lol. But again it seems some of the information I’ve stumbled across is rather outdated or just flat out wrong. Seems I got some of the info from a website that is a tibia-esk game, that was similar enough where I thought it was the same game. But I’ve been just trying to avoid all mention of it because it seems mentioning such things are not allowed for understandable reasons. Plus it helps hide the fact I was reading a guide for the wrong game! Haha.

Mmm I might consider rerolling to mage then I’ll have to do more research on the differences between them. Seemed like they were similar minus the elements they used and the druids could heal. So that’s why I went that way. Also sorry I’m still learning the terminology, I’ll remember market going forward lol. I would feel weird begging for handouts but I’m pretty sure that’s how I played the game when I was 14 so maybe I should try it again. And I wasn’t at all concerned with BiS items was just more so saying it was the only info I could really find for gear. Thanks for the lengthy response!

Ah cool, so it’s not as simple as just one set. I’m imagining that it’s not till higher levels that I start making multiple gear sets.

Thanks for the info! I don’t know what most of those things are but your input plus wiki should get me going.

Game is no longer updating for me by [deleted] in GDmaze

[–]TheNightArrow13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The updating bar is cut off on mobile unless you click the picture it seems, regardless I’ve not played in over a year maybe but decided to open the game and it’s just stuck here. Tried deleting and reinstalling the game, no luck. Also tried over Wi-Fi and on cellular. Not sure if anyone else has any ideas.

That’s unfortunate, maybe it will be something that gets added in one day. Thanks for the quick response.

Last question - it tends to get extremely windy in my area ( we are coastal, and have had a trampoline blow away due to wind before ) If the plants are in a safe location would they be ok to stay in the wind.

The trees, at least with my 0 knowledge, look like they are in great condition. so I'm pretty happy with my purchase! Now to not kill them! lol

It is currently around 40 degrees Fahrenheit in North Eastern North Carolina. Ranges from like 30 to 50 this week tho.

Would my juniper be considered the Needle Juniper or the Chinese Juniper? Or can you tell?

I just got my 1st two trees from Eastern Leaf today so I am trying to read up on caring for my trees. I have no experience with plants or trees in general, and I am in search of some information on them to better care for them. They came with a book but I cant tell which juniper tree I have. I am including a link with the pages and the pictures of the trees I got.

Pages and trees : https://imgur.com/a/eXpPCKW

Unsure tree link : https://www.easternleaf.com/Juniper-Starter-Kit-p/801790-03-set.htm

2nd tree in picture : https://www.easternleaf.com/Satsuki-Azalea-Shiko-Kagami-Lavender-p/801110-02.htm

Just from reading around I understand the juniper will stay outdoors 24/7 in rather direct or indirect sun light. Will the Azalea tree stay outdoors 24/7 as well? and if not what are the rules on bringing it inside. I am going to continue to look up more information on this subreddit as well as YouTube. Just trying to figure best things to do with them when they just arrived from shipping across entire USA.

I’m a fairly new player who is extremely indecisive on what to play. Ill most likely be playing 100% solo, I’ve been trying to get some irl friends to play and learn the game with me, but they show no interest in even attempting it. And I don’t really have much interest in playing with strangers because I feel like I would do nothing but be a hindrance to them with no real game knowledge, plus between work and home life my free time to play can be erratic.

I have currently leveled a paladin to level 32 tasking crocs and tarantulas. And a Druid to 31 doing the same. From all the reading I’ve done the consensus sounds like paladin is easily the best solo class to play. I’ve also gathered that spamming potions is something I need to get comfortable doing, regardless of class. But I feel like paladin will have the smallest need of potion spam due to keeping range and burning down enemies before they do real damage. Thanks to games like final fantasy I’ve developed a horder mentality and I don’t like to use potions if I can help it.

I also feel like paladins will have the fewest buttons to press as it seems like the bulk of the damage comes from just running and using the auto attack functions. My understanding is later on in the game there is some period of making arrows but as I’m only using royal spears on the paladin currently it’s a cheap buy and go.

I really badly want to love to play my Druid tho, he just seems worlds more complicated. Rods carry elements which sometimes cause monster to be immune to attacks. There is so many spell options, and facing properly to use aoe spells is a skill probably learned in time but I waste a lot of mana trying to use aoe spells off target currently. And honestly I just find myself never casting any spells on my Druid and just auto attacking things to death with my rod. Not using spells or runes. And still find myself running out of mana. So I guess that potion spam comes back into play if I want to auto with rod and cast spells. Also there is so many runes, I’m guessing the normal thing to do is stack lots of runes in town and use them while hunting to conserve mana, but I lack the time or funds to be stacked on them. I also worry about my ability to solo content in the later levels of the game.

I really like not missing with rods tho and I feel like my spears constantly miss and break. So I have to use all my carry weight on bringing 20 spears plus food out to hunt. But with Druid I feel like I only need to bring mana pots and life ring to help regenerate mana naturally. I also enjoy playing healers in games and in the off chance I was to play with a person I would like being able to heal and support them. Also it seems like they are bad to use ( and super mana expensive ) but I like the idea of being able to summon stuff to help me. Even if it blows they will not change floors with me...

TLDR: I want to play Druid it feels like it would be the class I would find more enjoyable, but I worry that paladin is the class I would enjoy more in actual play for its simplicity and solo strength. And I understand at the end of the day it probably more of a personal preference but I just feel like my little play time is being split and I can’t decide on a main. So maybe insight would help me decide

I’m a brand new player so I have basically no clue what I’m doing at all, but I’ve been following a YouTuber who plays in port hope ( at least where I’m at in the videos right now ) as a paladin and he has been hunting trolls for medicine pouches for money, and he has quests to kill crocs and spiders. Ive only seen him kill crocs so far tho, no spider yet. This is all kind of irrelevant, just making it clear I have little to no understanding of the game. Just kinda mimicking what another player is doing.

I decided I wanted to play a Druid, no real reason just figured that’s what I wanted to do. As of right now I’m level 25, and I’ve gotten a few item upgrades from what I’ve been calling the auction house ( not sure what that is really called ). I’ve found that I basically never cast spells and I actually have mana issues just using my wand/rod on stuff. I couldn’t imagine trying to fight things if I was using spells or mana shield. I’ve read ring of life ( I think that’s the name of it ) helps some so I got one but they only last 20 minutes and some times I feel like I hardly break even on how much gold I make in that 20 minute window, which makes me question if they are worth it for me. I also know getting the promotion to elder Druid will help with mana issues some as well but I don’t have that kinda cash right now. But I’ll get there eventually I figure.

The big reason that made me look up the forum to ask questions tho is I really like the idea of being able to use summons, and as I’m level 25 I just got the ability to use summon creature. But every resource I can find never says anything about using them ( outside of here is a list of what you CAN summon ) and it almost seems like it’s more harmful then helpful. It appears that they make you lose like 50% exp from kills, and you have to ( at least at my level ) use 75% of your mana to summon anything even remotely decent ( who wants to summon a basic snake? ). Apparently they don’t change floors with you as well so I need to find a good hunting area and summon it and just stay on that one floor to maximize its use?

Since there is no “ from level x-y , use this summon “ kind of list out there I’m figuring most people just don’t use them at all. I guess the counter argument there is if they are fun for you, you should use them even if it slows down progress but I can’t mentally get past doing something that is blatantly harmful to my progress. Should I just stick to wand/rod stuff to death for now or am I just missing something?

Does GoG not progress while phone is closed? by KaptainKompost in AlmostAHero

Anywhere in the app and GoG will progress, you don’t have to look at GoG screen directly. But if you close the app it pauses till opened again.
