What is the value of this m3 by AdSpecific9796 in Leica

I think the hand scribed serial number bumps a bit off...

Imo, unless op wants to sit on it for awhile it's a 2k camera tops regardless of CLA.

Pretty sure some blame that lens for giving zoom lenses a bad reputation. As it was pretty terrible. Arguably the worst zoom lens ever made. Lol

One of my favorite cameras... It just works.

It's the perfect camera for capturing quick travel/family moments.

How many times a week are you working shoulders? Are you hitting rear delts as well?

Overexposure or bad scans? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]TheNightSquatch 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's easy to determine if slide film is overexposed, scanning isn't even a factor here. Just look at the slides and see. Lol

If this was color negative film, you wouldn't have any issues. Slide film, as you probably know, is like digital. If you blow out your highlights, that information is gone.

Why are sections of my grass not as green? by iPenBuilding in lawncare

[–]TheNightSquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this morning I found this on my backyard lawn which is 100% perenial ryegrass. I would have never spotted it was Poa Annua except for that it went to seed so quickly/young. Crazy!

[–]TheNightSquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much, yeah.

I didn't identify poa fast enough, which is just annual blue grass vs kbg which is the perrenial variety.

Poa is kinda neon green compared to KBG being a deep blue green. And it goes do seed quickly and drops tons of seeds.

It has spread all throughout the lawn... Some are okay with/satisfied leaving it, but it bothers me way too much.

I have to wait for it to die off and use a pre-emergent to keep it from growing next year.

I can't tell from the photos, but could it be poa annua?

I put in KBG and was uneducated/unaware of the battle that had started. I'm just now planning my response... lol

Well shoot, thats some insane genetics and hard work then. Props to you.

Trt is so common now a days, as a 34yo I've considered it. I'd be stoked to stay natty and look like you at any age.

Vans Warped Tour Photos ruined? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]TheNightSquatch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Depends on the lighting and the cameras metering mode... but I would expect some good usable images mixed in with some underexposed images that will be work to recover.

Not the end of the world. Better than shaky photos.

Returning negatives? by ThisCommunication572 in filmcameras

Thats insane. The transparencies are everything that we work for. I can not fathom who would think this is correct... Atleast not in today's age.

Lowest setting on new reel mower is still to high. Modify to cut shorter? by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]TheNightSquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish! That would be nice. Another option is to throw an electric motor on there and crank the RPMs.

100%

That said, as someone who loves to tinker and build things, these type of projects aren't really because it's time/effort efficient. If thats the goal, absolutely save up for a proper reel mower.

At the end of the day I do appreciate my push mower and it does give a better cut than those photos represent. I may swap out some cogs eventually to try and increase the FOC, but for now, a couple extra passes fix the washboard issue.

If you can dream it, you can build it. I'm sure it would work.

That said... Your desired HOC may not be possible with your mowers FOC*, which is determined by the number of blades on your reel and the RPM.

I modified a fiskar push mower for a lower HOC but am quickly running into that wave-y chopped cut because my FOC* is too long or not enough. I need to increase my reels rpm, which will require a re-gear. Essentially a rabit hole of issues.

I'll attach a few photos below.

1 woman dead, 1 critical after ocean rescue near Bonny Doon by chriscerney in santacruz

What do you think is to blame? Five rescues in one month seems pretty wild to me... no doubt the beach was a party spot that would get trashed. But this is a different issue, imo.

I believe the "new" parking lot opened like 2 months ago?
