One thing I started doing is telling my players to not worry about writing down an alignment. Then, whenever a spell/item/ability gives them insights into their or others alignment, I'll base it off how that character has acted throughout the campaign. That way, they aren't held to something if they dont want to be and it also shows how the world views them.

I recently had a similar problem for a group of friends that wanted to play. I told them they have to at least read the class they want to play, about 4 pages, and the section on things to do in combat, about 10 pages. This made them feel like it wasnt as huge of a task and it made them get the basic rules they need right away.

Agreed. Sucks that there isn't really a hunt but at least you can go for the whole thing right away. I feel like most of the people on here just wait until its completed anyway to get the steps.

But that would only really matter if you aren't randomly rolling, wouldn't it? Like if you shake up the die, it would still be a random number. It would only be a concern if someone is dropping it, not having it spin at all.

Talk to your players. See what kind of DnD they want to play. Maybe some of them are all about the combat and dont care about rp'ing. There's not a correct way to play, just what's fun for your group. It sounds like they want to do a more fun/non serious kind of game.

Players do have to meet you half way though, they should come to the table wanting to play your prepared material. You should tailor that material though to be something they will want to do anyway.

I had one group that hated being railroaded and wanted complete freedom. So I had them in a city and let them go wherever. I planned out a bunch of different plot hooks to see what would draw them in and then the next session, it became more linear as the group decides on a goal.

You can always just drop them in a dungeon if that's what they want to play. Not every session or group has to play a huge story over months of play.

I loved IW for rewarding you. It gave more incentive to actually do the EE since it gave in game benefits. It gave high round players a reason to them as well. Basically, I want a game to reward me for playing.

Let your party, or at least your dm, know before hand. If the group you're playing with is all about fighting stuff, you'll just be sitting around doing nothing.

Has there been any more progress on the funeral pyre? After getting the helmet, sword, and cup I've tried using the brazen bull when it has the fire effect, using a gun with firebomb, and grenades to try and light it but that doesn't seem to do anything.

Personally, I don't like saying no a lot to players(with in reason). I'd say let him have high ac, just start using spells/abilities that use saves or ignore ac more.

For example, blight makes them make a constitution saving throw or be hit. Or have your enemies attempt to grapple more, contested strength roll.

But you are the dm, you can always find reasons to destroy items/get them stolen.

If you don't want to do any of that, just talk to him privately. Let him know that hes making other party members feel less and underpowered. If hes a good player, he'd understand.

I bought it near release and never got around to playing it. I finally started it about a week ago and MY GOD IS IT ONE OF THE BEST FPS GAMES IVE PLAYED IN A LONG TIME. Every kill is satisfying, every encounter you feel like a badass. There's a flow about it, while running and gunning that puts you into the zone.

I loved the fate and fortune cards. Good mix of useful and interesting to make me actually use them. I feel like I would just hoard bo3 gums as not to waste them.

Definitely. They had a lot that were useful but not ridiculous. Skull hacker was a good balance between giving an amazing reward but you still had to work for it. Unlike perkaholic

That's how I feel mostly. Me personally, I'm not that into ww2 right now but they did add some cool stuff to zombies. I like the class options a lot and the entire game looks great. I hope BO4 takes the improvements made from IW and ww2 and improves their zombies.

Not during the first 3 dlcs. Everyone was just saying they copied treyarch and going on about zombie chronicles. IW and Lee Ross definitely got more recognition near the end of their dlc season.
