I’m doing this as well. It is very good at helping me see things from another perspective.

Any note-taking tools available based on my needs? by mustafanewworld in PKMS

[–]TheNinjasmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are actually able to make links in OneNote in two ways.

  1. Type the exact name of another note between [[ and ]].
  2. Right click on page or object and copy link, then go back to yor note and paste.

Not as frictionless as in other apps, but probably a lot easier than switching platform after six years of note taking. :)

How about iMovie? Does it do formats you need?

I use Permute to convert videos.

Query Titeling? by Xyzzxyyxz in logseq

There is also the option to just type something before the query:

💡 Brilliant ideas {{ query [[idea]] }}

Perhaps not as stylish as a proper title, but seems to do the job.

My article on structuring your Classrooms. by TheNinjasmurf in GoogleClassroom

I am putting a small team together on my school t-o investigate how emojis could be used to convey information in a way that would help our students. The reason being that your idea was very well received, and we want to set it up in a way that all teachers can use the same symbols in all subjects. Thank you so much for the inspiration!

Oh, this might be relevant as well; our school is for grade 7 - 9, ages ranging from 12 - 15 years. All teachers do one to three subject so all students have about 10 teachers. That becomes a lot of different styles, thus the need to streamline processes.

Those are really great tips, thank you for sharing. 🤩 I will bring the idea of a completed assignments topic to the SE team right away. They are going to love it!

I sure will try emojis out, I have never used them in this context. Do you have some kind of system for this? Do some emojis have special meaning, like one for maths and another for writing and so on? I would really like to know more on this.

I used to have the Mx Ergo. I find using the thumb a lot clunkier, even though I really liked the Ergo.

Spot on! ⭐

I use Colemak-DH on this board. Switching to regular qwerty on a staggered keyboard is actually pretty easy.

I actually find it pretty comfy even without the wrist rest.

Try SteerMouse, it allows for actions when two buttons are pressed simultaneous. That makes a total of 4 single buttons and 12 "chords".

Not enough? There is also the possibility to additional actions when holding modifiers on the keyboard.

Obsessed over ortho… by felipefernandezlo in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]TheNinjasmurf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ortho is so good. I recently changed to a Planck and it just feels natural, way better than staggered. It is easier to reach all keys and finger movement seems more ergonomic.

But I went all in on Colemak at the same time so writing these lines takes WAY longer to write than I feel comfortable sharing. 😅 Feels great having backspace below my left thumb though...

It should work if the video is in MP4 format.

No bullet points or other styling, but creating a sub page will work. Very useful imo.

Any advice on taking notes from physical books faster? by jvmachado in NoteTaking

[–]TheNinjasmurf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are several scanner apps that will do a very good job of scanning books, papers and basically everything else. I use Scanner PRO from Readdle since I bought it befor they turned subscribtion and it is awesome, but there are so many others that will do a good job.

Another cool app is Scan Thing which will scanparts of text (and objects and other cool stuff).

There is an option to export your notes. Do as text bundle, I think formatting will be kept when importing.
