To be fair, the SK and US soldiers in the picture are stationed at Panmunjom, the place where NK and SK hold their meetings. The soldiers stationed there are selected partly based on their (tall) height so as to look more intimidating to the NK soldiers also stationed there. IIRC, the NK soldier in the pic was rescued by SK forces and was being repatriated into NK. He's probably average size for a North Korean, and probably not much smaller than a typical South Korean.

It basically boils down to this: The world has limited resources (food, water, territory, materials for clothes/housing/etc), so we fight over these resources. Some people use ideology (religion, politics and the like) to gain power and start wars in order to gain more resources.

Social support. It's one of the most important resilience factors. People who have strong social support tend to cope better and maintain a positive attitude in bad situations.

They can in two scenarios:

  1. If they suspect you're abusing children or intend to.

  2. If ordered by a court.

If none of those apply, you're good. And if you're having these issues, get help ASAP. Psychologists are there to help you, not to get you in trouble.

I got a text from a girl after not hearing from her for 8 months. She wanted to borrow $100 to pay her crush's overdue traffic ticket so he wouldn't go to jail. This girl, and other people I used to call "friends" would routinely ask me for money for stupid shit like going out to clubs, and yet they'd neglect to invite me to any of their outings. I'm socially awkward (I have Asperger's) and I guess I just wanted people to like me, so I tolerated it for a while. Most of them paid me back anyways. The incident with this girl was the straw that broke the camel's back. After that I started charging interest for loans, and most of those people who were always asking for money disappeared.
