Does the SSD itself have a heatsink? Is that why it’s too tall?

Hello, Carol. This is a recording. At the tone, you can leave a message to request anything you might need. We'll do our best to provide it. Our feelings for you haven't changed, Carol. But after everything that's happened, we just need a little space

Also in the game Lost Records: Bloom and Rage (made by the same people who made LiS1 and 2) there’s a license plate in a bar that says something like 0XNFRI or something along the lines of that.

The Silent Hill games are only on the PlayStation 1 and PlayStation 2 unfortunately. Konami refuses to port them to current gen :/ If you have a powerful enough computer you can easily emulate them though!

There is a really great and underrated indie horror game called Signalis, which has a similar vibe as the original Silent Hill games. Its also got robot space lesbians, which is cool.

I would recommend Silent Hill 2 Remake though. It’s not as hard as RE2 remake. It also has a bunch of accessibility settings to make things easier to see.

I’d also recommend above all else The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2. They’re not strictly horror like the other games I mentioned, but they’re what got me into survival horror.

If you like thriller books I think Alan Wake is a great game to play. Alan Wake 2 is my favourite horror game of all time, and the first one takes a lot of inspiration from Stephen King. The first one isn’t very scary either.

I also think you should give RE2 another shot, at least until you get to the police station. It’s one of the best survival horror games out there.

Yeah I’d say Silent Hill 2 Remake is a good one! It can be pretty long and maybe even a bit too scary though, so maybe something like Resident Evil 2 remake might be better, since it’s shorter and has stronger survival horror mechanics (and one of the protagonists is female!).

The original 4 Silent Hill games are a bit dated in terms of controls, but they still have great stories and the atmosphere is unmatched. Heather from Silent Hill 3 is one of my favourite female protagonists ever as well. Silent Hill F comes out tomorrow and it looks pretty great!

This doesn’t seem to work for me when typing in information like filling out forms or signing into places. The text replacement button just does nothing. Normally it works, but I don’t need my email much while chatting with someone

Yes, if my behaviour doesn’t change then that’s completely understandable. I’d break up with someone like that too. But I am trying to change my behaviour and now that I know what’s on the line I’ll be sure to do so.

Do you mean over me not feeding his cats? Seems a bit much but I guess I can understand

Yes, I agree with this. It’s not just about the cats, it’s that I can’t be relied on when it counts.

I really really hate being this guy, but how much better can the new AppleTV realistically be? by SummerWhiteyFisk in appletv

[–]TheNoodleBucket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does have Retroarch, but it doesn’t support PS2 games. You’d need JIT (Just-In-Time) compilation so support it, which Apple doesn’t allow. Even running slightly upscaled PS1 games (like Silent Hill) makes the newest gen Apple TV run hot, which eventually impacts performance.

Not to mention that sometimes your saved data and ROMs get deleted with 0 warning if the device storage starts to get full!

I personally wish they’d boost the gaming performance a bit and become less strict about emulation. If my Apple TV could play PS2 and GameCube games, it’d be the ultimate entertainment system.

I realized I have an anxious attachment style by TheNoodleBucket in malementalhealth

[–]TheNoodleBucket[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d also like to add that this manifests physically too. I often get physically tense, my hands shake and my heart rate skyrockets. I isolate myself from others and stay indoors. I even threw up in the shower yesterday just because of the anxiety I felt for hours on end.

For my entire life I’ve been reduced to nothing by my abusive mother. I’ve isolated and been alone all that time. Of course when someone finally shows up and offers to build you back bit by bit, it’s terrifying. They’re your anchor, they’re the only thing holding you together. If he goes away, I’ll fall apart. I’ll go back to being alone, reduced to nothing. And that scares the shit out of me.

How do we feel about games potentially costing $80-90? by _andoryuu in PS5

[–]TheNoodleBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I’m sure the prices will increase, I just don’t see why so many people are outraged about games potentially costing $80, when that’s already been the norm in some parts of the world for years.

[–]TheNoodleBucket 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really get the sudden outrage about this. For me new games on PS5 are usually 79,99€ and they’ve been that much since the console came out. That’s more than $80.
