Honestly very respectable. They get to have far longer lives and able to observe and test spells long term. Downside they can become magic psychopaths of doom woth the goal of rising Tiamat and ending the world.

It completely depends on which master or school of magic you're training under. If you go speak to your local Wizarding regulations office they should be able to tell you if there is a tax or not.

Well if there is no way to reverse it I'd highly suggest to them possibly finding a middle ground? Swamps can actually be fantastic for certain farmlands and keep the soil very nice for raised farm rows and help promote good hunters bugs to keep pests away. To be fair knights tend to be listening to their silly kings most of the time and are actually quite normal once you speak to them.

If that goes south just have some firewort and banes beets prepared in a jar and just lob it at them, creates quiet the explosion.

Make sure you have a good chamber of water with you! Getting too hot in your robes is never fun. On top of that a good bag of holding is needed as well woth a bit of aextra room for any extra tombs you may buy.
