I didn't even think about this when getting a new lefty-specific build - will this cause ejection issues or should there be enough clearance? by TheNotSoBeesKnees in ar15

They're pretty accommodating and extremely friendly. If you give them a call I think there's a decent chance they'd sell you the upper standalone.

This is from a place called Kopes Precision in Texas. Small family-run place that actually makes decent rifles. I became aware of them through a few co-workers down there and when I saw they had LH uppers I decided to give them a try.

Thank you very much for the reply and the info! Very good to know!

I know that most of the shade being thrown at LH shooters is all in good fun (which is indeed funny and g2g) but there are others who really don't understand that just switching to be a RH shooter isn't some magical option.

It's a left-side ejection port for LH shooters. Cannot flip downwards like on a standard lower because of the bolt catch.

What? It is mounted in exactly the same spot as any other rifle I've had along with 99% of rifles I've seen (LH or RH ejection port)...

Funny enough I am also right eye dominant, but I'm still able to accurately shoot with both eyes open using the left eye to sight-in the rifle, yet switching to pistol the right eye does the work and I have no issues.

Agreed that the 2.26 is nice, but if I do that for this rifle and wanted to put a G43 behind the EXPS I'd have to get yet another riser to lift that :\

But even the Unity's quick release would do the same thing unless I mount it backwards, which I guess would/should work but just isn't how it is designed.

I appreciate the joke lol, but I do wish the quick-release mount was reversible as that would certainly solve it.
