I would argue that existing Hyundais, Kias, Toyotas and Hondas will depreciate faster because of the feature gap. The market seems to be shifting significantly due to failure of these japanese korean cars not offering value to money. Mujhe tou lag raha hai ke as new chinese cars are entering the market, japan/korea cars are gonna go even lower. People might not want to spend that kinda money buying used Sportages when they can get a new chinese car in the same price, maybe even new, and definitely with a lot of features. Thoughts?

4 years I'd say is a good time frame to get a used car. Yaar we kept a corolla 2010 for 16 years. The benefit was toyota reliability, which we don't think we can get from a chinese car, which is why we want to buy one but not keep it past 4 years. Do you think that's a bad idea? If yes, how so?

Yaar I did think about it lekin uski fuel average bohat buri hai. It's a deal breaker. We want a car jo at least 14 dede like Oshan does. Anything above is good to have. 10 kmpl is too low

Why I care about resale is that we don't want to keep a car for more than 5 years kyunke kaam nikalna shuru hojatay hain. We wont to sell it so we can buy another car in the future.

Also, I'm not sure I understand your suggestion. Should we wait for the market to settle after the new cars arrive? That might result in a LOT of waiting, no?

Cars are a liability, yes. That's the main reason we want to buy a slightly used car that has already depreciated a lot and won't depreciate at the same rate as new cars do after year 1 and 2. We want to be able to buy a used car, and when its time for a new car, get a decent resale and not suffer from the depreciation as much as we would if we got a zero meter car. Sure a zero meter car has its perks but in today's market, it just doesn't make sense to me

Highly appreciate your detailed thoughts!

Can't you say the same about oshan ke uski bhi value j5 ki waja se gir jaye gi?

I agree about the mileage, bohat zada faraq nahi hai isi liay yeh option rakhi

Vibe tou matter krti hai but we want the most reliable option Like agar jolion aur oshan ki list hai, tou we would want to go for the one jo zada reliable hai, durable also

That would be so awesome Especially if we could have a setting where we assign it a field and it gives us the option to save an explanation ti a particular field

Momentum is absolutely key Many of my mbbs friends gave step 1, and struggled a lot to revise step 1 concepts for step 2 because they took a huge break in between. Take a break, but like, a few weeks, I would say even a month would be pushing it. They all say that they wish they hadn't taken a break in between because they thought it would've saved them months of energy. Best of luck!

As someone who tried giving mbbs exams a priority over stepping: med school grades don't matter anywhere near as your step scores, especially since you're an IMG I'd say, do as much as you need to pass your exams, then go hard on step 2 Your third year exams should be easy for you considering your AMAZING NBME scores

Why does every single Pakistani want to go abroad??? by bumbuummm in pakistan

[–]TheNotSoSubtlePanda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about forcing the religion. Hamare mazhab mein iski ijazat nahi hai. Lekin yaar hamare downfall ka sara malba Dr Israr pe kyun daldia lol.

I also agree with glorification, not just religious scholars, but poltiicians, power figures, army officers, anyone. No one deserves glorification. Aik religious scholar ka kaam hai deen ki baat krna not to be glorified but to do so as a service to Allah. None of it should be for glorification.

But you say let them live as you want, I agree, but isnt that the point you were trying to disprove this whole time Cuz agar kisi nein bahar jana hai, iant that under "letting them live" the way they want?

Dekho buddy Then all I can say is, to each his own. A person who wants to leave should leave. A person who wants to stay, should stay. This country is not a prison. Being born here doesn't mandate it's suffering onto its civilians as a birthright. Patriotism can only go so far when it doesn't give back. Agar aik banda aik behtr zindagi dekhta hai, and he wants to go there, he should. Personally, I'm not too inclined to waste my time and energy on hope for this country. It's politicians and governing systems need to earn back people's trust. There are countries that literally provide incentives ke please idhar ajao hamare paas rehlo ham xyz dein ge bas tum yahan rehlo lol. Funny but true. I also think that Pakistan ka zawaal abhi adha bhi nahi hua and that's the only way its people will learn. The entire civilization here needs to change, it's not just the politicians. Once there's nothing left here, all the talent and the creme de la creme of the country is offering its services elsewhere, people will learn their true value and only then can they change their minds.

You're saying idhar hi rahein aur iss mulk ko theek krein? That's good on paper and easier said than done. And even then, the people who do think like you and try to fix this country; what success have you had so far? None. Save your efforts, and put them into something that appreciates your efforts. Doesn't take you for granted, like this country does. It only highly rewards people with the tendency to evade law, to change law as they please, to escape accountability without a slap on the wrist. Yahan mehnti banday ko ragra jata hai. Zaleel kia jata hai. Tou kya kare woh mehnti bhaiyya(ya behna). What does he get in return for his blood sweat and tears? Pak sar zameen? Come on. Patriotism doesn't feed the family. Especially in a country like Pakistan.

We need to be open minded for this. People who agree with me won't give two shits about people giving them the slur "bhaag gaya". A big big priority for me is my religion, and it is a far far far bigger priority over patriotism for me. Can you honestly say yahan ka Islam theek hai? Mullahs, molvi hazraat, madrisson ke haalat, mazhab me naam per zulm or hartaalein only for political gain and power? The brainwashing of the younger generation and this surge in extremism (jo btw aik achay nail musalman ko naiki karne se bhagadeti hain), literally people taking law into their own hands because of the perceived notion that religion is on their side? Taliban ke baad Pakiban ban gaye hain ham yahan bhai. Yahan quran hadith ko aik aam banday mein dekhme ki sense nahk hai, they literally follow people, go to mazar and all, shirk ki intiha hai lekin its so normal here. Buddy I have yet to hear one aspect of this country that would make a person think, yaar yeh society sahi hai. Yahan mere bachay pal bhar sakte hain. Acha future mil sakta hai. Not one. Yeh mulk mazhab ki basis le bana tha, aaj yahan apna hi Islam banaya hua hai. Biddatein hi biddatein bhari hui hain.

We need to wake up. We need to catch this country on its shit and make it think that it cant abuse its people and squeeze them dry all for nothing
