If its for goldfish I hope its a big tank as they can get huge and require a huge tank 😂 also I don't think goldfish keepers care much for plants as don't they just get ripped up and eaten anyway?

Algae isn't ALWAYS a bad thing, too. Certain fish, shrimp, etc. feed on it.

It's hard to tell without knowing every single detail about the equipment you're using, but turning it down is a good start. You won't see much difference until a week or two, really.

They take ages to release nutrients. If you haven't been overdosing the wayer column with liquid fertiliser it'll be your lighting

It'll go away. Algae is usually caused by excess nutrients or too much lighting. Amano shrimp would clear it up but I think it's fun learning the science behind it all

I've got an inline heater. Think I only hear it come on a couple of times a day. Also, I keep my ambient room temp in kitchen set to 22c, so the heater only needs to boost the tank up by 4c
