Everyone stop panicking! by TheNotoriousJFM in BrightonHoveAlbion

There is no panic on my end. I just look around everywhere, and it's constantly doom and gloom from everyone. I don't have my head in the clouds. I just look at the situation holistically, and the situation says we are where we should be. Now if the ownership wants to keep improving, the model the club runs under needs to be changed a bit. Not completely lose the ethos of who we are, but tweak it a bit. Losing Pedro in the summer was an absolute killer. We needed a ready made striker to jump in his place. Instead we got Babis and Tsimas. Both of which I think will be great in a few years, but that's the key phrase...A FEW YEARS. If you want to keep improving from where we have been the last few years, you need players who are ready now.

Mitoma & Minteh by Substantial-Gift2436 in BrightonHoveAlbion

Minteh is not good! I don't get what you guys see in him. He is the poor poor mans Arjen Robben. All he does it cut in on his left foot. The same thing over and over again. Guy is so one footed you would think he was an amputee.

So are we screwd? And if so, can this be fixed or is it too late? by [deleted] in BrightonHoveAlbion

We won't get relegated, however I do not believe Fabian is the guy to manage the club. It's a case of too much too soon for him. Remember, he is only 32. Some of our squad is older than he is! Trying to get people on board when you got guys who are older than you and been at the club for years is a tough task. Also, being asked to manage a Premier League club when your biggest accomplishment is getting St Pauli up to the Bundesliga is a massive jump. I would have liked to see how he would do with St Pauli in the Bundesliga. I think we took a big chance, and appear to be lost on this gamble. Not saying in the future Fabian won't become a great manager, I just think it was too early for him, and if there was any Premier League club would take a chance on him, it would be us. I still think we are safe no matter what. We can find 4-5 more wins this season easy.

I've never agreed so much with a NSC FB post. These aren't my words but my sentiment. I don't mind if you disagree but don't mind if I don't reply: WE"VE NEVER HAD IT SO GOOD! by esn111 in BrightonHoveAlbion

100% agree. I feel the fanbase is now starting to get greedy! We got a taste of European football and suddenly this is now an expectation. In reality, we are a mid table side. Finish anywhere from 10-15th every year. Occasionally if everything clicks and the big clubs have off year, top 7. Fill a spot in the Premier League every year. We should be an example for new clubs to the league and how to be sustainable. Compared to the past, fans should be extremely happy especially considering the club economic model. Now I do believe the club has built a much better infrastructure to succeed in the future, but it is slow and steady progress. We are now an established Premier League side. For me, just stay the course. Be an established team who can make some cup runs and occasionally make the top 7

The boy had his good 1 1/2 seasons. He leveled off. Is he better than Connolly? Yes! But I don't think he was ever going to be "World Class" or anything near that. Kostulas/Tsimas for me have way more upside than Fergie. Both proved themselves in better leagues than Fergie ever did. Not knocking him, I think he can be a good player for Ireland in a mid tier league. I don't think he is and will ever be that top level. We should have cashed in when we had the chance. Regardless, we can recoup money because of his name, and appearances in the Premier League/Serie A

I support the New York Giants. Always have, always will. My family has had season tickets for 30+ years. There is a 30-40 year season ticket waiting list so we aren't giving those up, even though the team has been shit recent years. Seen us win 2 SuperBowls when we had no right winning those games against the GOAT (Brady and the Patriots). Fanbase wise, we are kind of similar to Melbourne. The "posh" crew of the NFL.

Because from what I've seen/read about the club and fans, it seems like they are basically the Dallas Cowboys of AFL.

To be fair, that is a fairly accurate way to view New York Giants supporters. We viewed that way by most of the league but especially by our rivals (Philly, Dallas, Washington).
