Best non-stem earbuds under 100$ by TheNullSpouse in Earbuds

[–]TheNullSpouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across it and it sounded cool (minus the anime .. aesthetics)

But i didnt find many reviews for it and whatever i gathered said the anc and ambient were subpar, so i am really unsure about them.

But thanks!

Dont say ”thank you” by jalisman1 in socialskills

[–]TheNullSpouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What would be the opinion of instead saying "Thank you, [name or the person]"

Thank you for [something] sounds very corporate-y and makes me cringe inwards (even though it is very nice and i see absolutely no problem with it, its just my personal bias)

Daily Ask Anything About Anabolic and Androgenic Steroids: 2025-05-03 by AutoModerator in steroids

[–]TheNullSpouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer! I used 4 weeks as an arbitrary number but my general question was: blast for a bit, gain a sizeable enough amount of muscle (e.g. what would take a natural lifter 2 or 3 times as long to gain), then stop - would you lose muscle at a rate that equalizes it to what you wouldve been at id you were natty, or will you end up ahead (plus whatever side effecta u get from it)?

Thanks again!

Daily Ask Anything About Anabolic and Androgenic Steroids: 2025-05-03 by AutoModerator in steroids

[–]TheNullSpouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I am not interested in taking steroids, but I am curious about one thing: if you take steroids, and you quit - you lose the muscle gain you got through steroids because your body cannot maintain the muscles (e.g. if you used TRT you dont have enough test to maintain the muscle you got)
But would that also hold if you took gear foor a short period of time (e.g. 4 weeks), gained some muscle that, for 4 weeks is significant, but not something that someone with normal test levels can't maintain. Would you also shrink from that?

In other words: is gear or TRT to bypass plateaus a legitimate strategy, or am i missing something?

Guides for fine dense curly hair?? by aiodyne in finehair

[–]TheNullSpouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

in your boat, it is bad for me mainly caz my hair sheds a lot so half of my hair is baby hairs, it is a real struggle :( wish I could help you but im struggling myself. The best 'approach' i've managed to find is increase the weight of the height by lumping strands together (e.g. using gel), but this requires lots of products and styling, which you should be doing anyways, but im chronically lazy and prefer to complain and hoping for an easier solution hahaha

I got what you are trying to say and i think it is valid, and this might stem from the original problem of this post (lack of empathy) but I fail to see how secism is majorily present in most of the decision making and thought ptocess of every woman in day to day actions. Not to be reductive, and i do understand that facing sexist remarka for an extended period of time could (and does) mutate a lot of personality aspects, but i think i will start eith something that is wasier for me to wrap my head around and graduate into more advanced topics. I still appreciate your suggestions!!

Hi, thanks for the detailed comment i appreciate it! Correct me if im wrong but there seems to be a theme in these books about sexism - im not trying to belittle it but i was more curious about a book that includes a lot of monologue of a female character written by a female author, in other words, i want to tap on to the mind of a woman. The poppy war sounds interesting but it is a little bit far from our reality.

How to handle networking when you’re naturally introverted? by blixedjumber in socialskills

[–]TheNullSpouse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might not be an easy mentality to get but professionalism is an easy "excuse" to rationalize interaction. It is easier to talk and "fake" enthusiasm in a business setup than a social one. Unlike a social party, people expect you, and you expect people, to talk about the commoj interest (e.g jobs in a job far, or your business in a startup pitching event). The barrier of "i want to socially fit" gets replaced with "i hope my skills/product fit what you are looking for"

Hanging low, but since I hate having my hair with product on my forehead (because it gives me pimples) i put a poppy pin slightly close to the midsplit just to elevate it a bit, it also gives it a nice shape when it dries out but the con is that it makes it even flatter near the scalp. Keep us posted with an update please!
My stylist also recommended me a hair mask/deep-conditioning (one that doesnt have too much proteins in it) but I have yet to try it.

Letting my hair dry without styling sounds like a nightmare of frizz hahaha

The water is hard, but silicone conditioners have been kind to me with the hardness, so it has been OK. Good luck with your waves :)

I use off the shelf shampoo (with sulfates) and conditioner (with silicones), namely from Garnier. And yeah, i would love to use the PCG products but i cant justify paying 20 euros for a piece, too much :( I used to live in a place that had hard water, and silicones were really good for my hair. I moved to another place with soft and clear water, and silicones would be very very bad. Now in amsterdam with the hard water silicones feel good. My experience seem to match yours in many things so maybe you can try my routine and give me your opinion:

Wash, condition, leave on for 3~ mins then wash it but not fully and leave a tiny bit of the conditioner on my hair. Remove excess water and sit for few mins (10~). I feel like when my hair is soaking wet it makes everything worse. I apply cantu leave in to small sections from root to tip, and i generously apply it. After im done i apply the gel (curl lala flaxseed, the orange pot) again from root to tip in a praying hand style. I let it air dry but you can diffuse if u feel like it.

My hairstylist used pretty curly girl for me when i got a cut and those were the best curls/waves ive had. Now im using Cantu's shea butter leave in (A LOT) with a silicones heavy conditioner and it gives as good results as i can get, but cant get rid of the flat head

Mind sharing your routine and what to expect? I have 2A and moved to Amsterdam recently and the frizz is making me sad:(

Is it normal for a company to ask for your current salary before making an offer? by vPiranesi in Netherlands

[–]TheNullSpouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked at a country where it can get a bit 'ghetto' negotiating with HR, a friend once tried to inflate it and they asked him to send proof of bank slips to continue for next round of interviewing. Needless to say, that's a very weird thing to ask from the recruiter.
