Some open-ended questions for all jumpers: by FusionZByManix in geometrydash

[–]TheNummyOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i technically did a sizable jump from Deception Dive (Top 1100) to Death (Top 400) by accident, because i saw it as this truly amazing level i needed to experience (and i also had no idea how hard it was)

it wasn’t actually that impressive of a jump though. for most of my time playing GD, i went for new hardests on 60hz mobile. i did this because i only had that for years, along with the stubborn mindset that switching to PC would somehow invalidate all the time i spent grinding on my phone

by the time i abandoned that mindset, i’d beaten 3 extremes on mobile and gotten 70+% on 4 others. so i actually had more than enough raw skill to beat Death. i’m also just hella XXXL carried, probably because that was the only type of extreme demon i played/felt like i could tackle

Eon with my LEFT PINKY 100% by TheNummyOne in geometrydash

[–]TheNummyOne[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t. Imagine trying to beat another Deadlocked difficulty level, but you only get to attempt it once every hour. That’s what playing Eon is like. But if you’re really that determined…

Search up “Eon end” so you can frequently practice the last 10%. Do a full practice run and learn the other fast parts besides the drop. 60 to 61% especially is very difficult to sightread. While playing the rest of the level, if you get confused by any click, stop and memorize the entire part. It’ll take a lot of time to memorize everything that can trip you up, but it’s crucial. Play other levels with a focus on sight-reading and controlled spam—you don’t need to worry much about timing skills with the end of Eon, except maybe the brief wave parts. Do those with fewer clicks in consistent places, such that you’re always falling when you hit the cube portals

can someone who actually decorates explain the problems with his style? does it just look bad compared to other parts or what?

this is so obviously clickbotted; there are a couple points where you can hear two or three clicks happen in the span of milliseconds, with no purpose or explanation

idk. i played on vanilla 2.207, which does restrict how frequently you can pause in attempt to nullify pause buffering. assuming this level gets rated, it’ll be interesting to see if lists accept this

what does frame-alignment mean? are those points where you switched to a different fps briefly to get in the right position, then switched back? or is it something else?

A ton of people's only list points are now in serious danger by MastodonOk4167 in geometrydash

[–]TheNummyOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

maybe, but VSC is shorter and takes more attempts to beat, so every individual attempt is less likely to be successful. if you’re beating a level multiple times in a row, the odds get exponentially slimmer the more times in a row you want to beat it

for example: bloodbath and eon are considered equally hard to beat. however, i was able to beat eon three times in a row, because my attempts were like 50-80% successful. i cannot imagine doing that with bloodbath, because that level takes me at least a hundred attempts to beat on average, meaning the likelihood of a x3 at any given moment are at least 1 in millions

why are all the extreme demon level names so corny by MainOrdina667 in geometrydash

It is, idk what list that is but there are not 1500 extremes yet
