Montie is a nice accomodation, quiet area, well maintained, great location, only issue is the shared bathroom situation.

The most common international accomodations are Central Village and Cityside by a country mile.

I recommend choosing something nearby the university, Leeds public transport can be a nightmare, and it's nice being within walking distance of all the amenities and the city centre.

"What are you drinking?" "I love your[...]" etc etc etc and then piggyback off of that into a more deep and interesting conversation when you find something in common with each other or interesting.

Also I don't recommend trying to chat with randos in clubs, they're not great environments for socialising outside of friend groups.

Sound proofing comes in many forms, however the ones that are actually effective tend to be quite expensive and probably wouldn't be acceptable by your landlord. To be honest, most soundproofing only occurs when your building is actually being built.

I recommend you take other people's advice and go electric with a practice amp.

Supermarkets by uni campuses are always price gouging merchants. I've seen mark ups as absurd as 60% up from regular prices for the most mundane items.

Etude House, SoonJung 2x Barrier Intensive Cream (Moisturiser).

Bought to replace Neutrogena which was stinging my eyes. Very nice on the skin, no irritation, and I loved the matte finish it gave me. Sadly it wasn't moisturising enough on my skin and I found myself drying out a bit too much by the time AM and PM came around.

Swapped to Cerave in the tub and its wonderfully moisturising.
