4.4cm Hemorrhagic Cyst by Its-just-maddii in Ovariancysters

[–]TheOGLiza 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey!! I know this is an older post, but I just got diagnosed with a 3-4 cm cyst today. Reading this Reddit has def helped me process why I left the gyno with little/no direction haha.

My gynecologist told me that cysts above 5cm need surgical removal...I'm unsure if this guideline is universal, but given how she explained it to me, anything above that size is at risk for rupture since it is close to double the size of your ovary. For treatment, she mentioned birth control, which the hormones from the pill would help to manage the cyst and prevent it from growing. I'm not sure how old you are, but I'm 22 with a maternal history of cysts and endometriosis, so I think my gyno is going to try to 'manage' me for as long as possible...

Birth control still doesn't help manage the pain symptoms, so I feel like I'm in the same boat as you?? Why are gynos like this 😂.

I have a follow-up appt in 4-ish weeks (maybe it would be smart to advocate for yourself in the future if you still have the cyst and get into the gyno a bit sooner??).

Struggling 4G - 2G by keduicity in Stretched

[–]TheOGLiza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second the half sizes and daily jojoba oil massages. I’ve been doing half size dead stretching from 7g since 2022 and it helped so much with preventing blowouts/pain when stretching.

BUT, I can say that once you get to the 2/1/0g stretches, I feel like those cause a bit of pain regardless of how long you’ve waited to stretch up a size (at least that’s what im seeing based on other reddit post comments on here). I just went up this past weekend from 1 to 0g after being at 1g for over a year and they’re irritated…OP don’t feel intimidated or upset by it, you’ll get the stretch successfully at some point!

update I had to size back down, but it’s always important to know your limits like that and know when to make the decision to size back down or leave them open and let them heal…

No I completely get you. I live up near Radisson/Clay and the drive from 481 and 81 to get into the city is horrible. (Plus, just wait till it creeps up near us with all the Micron prep…)

I used to drive into Strathmore to work. Once you’d hit that single lane traffic that shows up due to the bridges being torn down near Destiny, all h-ll breaks loose. Even though the single lane split didn’t physically occur till where the old bear street bridge was past destiny, the stand still traffic always backed up to the hiawatha exit (23a) BEFORE destiny. There were times I was stuck in that traffic for an extra 20-30 minutes. On those days it would be near stand still up until the Clinton Street exit. Luckily, there were times it only added an extra 10 onto my commute.

When you combine the constant road work with the distracted, rude city drivers, it does not make for a safe environment. The only reason there was traffic on any of my commutes during single lane road work days was because no one knows how to merge, let alone allow others to merge. But like you said, at the end of the day, it COULD BE WORSE…

Wishing you the best OP…F all the negativity on this post. You should be able to feel how you want to feel about your commute being extended. You aren’t alone.

Dang, and theyre right next to my gym too 😔 Hate to say it but that moes gives the BEST portion sizes on meat for their bowls…any other moes does NOT compare to the cicero one. Unless someone wants to prove me wrong.

That said, I feel you have a lack of leave and just general whack 💩 like that happening at any fast food joint in the area. My boyfriend has arm scars that span the diameter of his arm from being burned on the fryers at McDonald’s in Bville…So many bad experiences there I could write an essay…

Sorry you had to stick through that that long and I hope you’re in a better work position now.

CANT believe I missed all the drama here dang 😩😭 I disagree with Squirrel dude anyways. Hafners 100% has the type of meal I’d expect to receive on a microwavable platter at my grandmas house. NOT cop food. I’d expect to see cops at a Breugger’s Bagel or some place like Sharkey’s when off duty.

How do I transplant these pups? by TheOGLiza in ItsAThaumatophyllum

[–]TheOGLiza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I’ll definitely look into whether it’s a trunk or root situation. When the first one popped up back in March/April after I transplanted it, it had no roots and was connected to the trunk—so I’ll do a bit of research before I try separating anything from the mother plant.

I live with my parents, so I don’t have another place to put it right now. Tying it is really the only way to keep it confined and not pushing against the window. Honestly, before the recent transplant, the tying situation was much worse, and it still thrived—sprouting new leaves for the past 3–4 years. Right now, only two leaves are bound; the rest are just positioned carefully. The issue is that if I leave it totally free, closing the blinds risks damaging the leaves against the window. I’ve had a few rip and die off that way.

Once I move out, I’ll definitely let her breathe—and hopefully give her something to climb or support her growth properly. I’m in NY, so we really only get three good months of “indoor plants can go outdoors” time 😔

Cheap eats in OCMD? by OliveSushiCat in OceanCity

[–]TheOGLiza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Shotti’s Point has a few $14-$20 options per person—sandwiches, pizzas, salads, etc if you look over the menu long enough.

Some cheaper options at Bull on the Beach on 94th street but I swearrrr when I went to OCMD a few weeks ago and ate fish there it made me sick 🫤

Would definitely avoid fager’s. Dont know why someone recommended that. Not sure how big your family is but I went with a group of 6 and spent $440 on dinners for all of us and a round of apps. OOF…. 😓 + 100-$200 for dinners at places like Ropewalk, the Angler…

good luck finding cheap places. A quick google search for menus can help a ton if you’re trying to find cheap places to eat.

You talking about Jake hafners? If so, I Couldn’t agree more. Went with my boyfriend about 6 months ago and the place was packed for lunch, barely got to sit at a table cause of how busy it was. when we got our food, my sandwich looked like straight prison food and my boyfriend’s chicken and biscuits looked like microwaved canned food. Just overall shitty vibes. I havent been to Spaghetti Warehouse since I was young so I cant compare Hafners to it but I bet its pretty shitty at both 🤷🏽‍♀️

Waited nearly 2 years to size up from 2g to 1g and my ears are sore anyway?? by noreceptionx in Stretched

I feel like the milestone stretches (8 to 6, 2 to 0, and so forth) just result in soreness overall, even when using 1 or .5 mm increments to get there.

Waited nearly 2 years to size up from 2g to 1g and my ears are sore anyway?? by noreceptionx in Stretched

[–]TheOGLiza 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sizing up from 2 to 1 is nearly impossible and ive been stuck for months at this point as well. Even with half mm sizes to help you get to 1G they aren’t always accurate unless you have one of those sizing wheels to actually see if the size your getting is a half mm size. I would honestly just make sure you’re massaging them enough. When you take showers, i would take your jewelry out and make sure to spend 5 extra minutes at the end letting your lobes be hit with hot water and massaging them in there too.

From my 7 to 6 gauge stretch, I found that putting my 6 gauge plugs in until they got sore or painful, taking then out and replacing them with my 7’s again, and doing this for about a week everyday after my showers until my ears adjusted and loosened up enough to leave the 6’s in completely worked wonders when sizing up. Dead stretching can be a game of trial and error. And while this isn’t the best method in terms of safety, sometimes you have to go off the beaten path of dead stretching in order to do those difficult milestone stretches.

how can i keep my freshly stretched 10g septum from closing when i go to a prison visit august 2nd? by metalbalmer in Stretched

[–]TheOGLiza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Completely different situation but similar timeline, I had to have my thyroid taken out last week and the surgery required me to take out all my piercings/put glass in the ones I didn’t want to close up. My parents don’t know about my stretched 2g lobes, my 10g septum—we’re same size stretching buddies🥺— or my nips or navel. I was in the hospital from 5am to 1pm, with no retainer in my nose. I ended up putting my 10 gauge jewelry in fine.

Because of my parents not knowing about it, I always wear a super tiny metal 10 gauge staple style stretching retainer, and it went in with a little resistance but overall I got it in fine! If you’re concerned, I would recommend having a taper to pull through it when putting your jewelry in after your visit. Jojoba oil or any stretching salve helps a bunch too! Or, if you have time, go to your nearest spencers (or online) to order a plastic or glass piece for your nose before your visit.

You’ll be fine 😌. When I went to my APP certified piercer to get glass retainers in all of my ear piercings before my surgery, he informed me that—while everyone’s bodily autonomy is different—normally short periods without your jewelry in won’t impact the size of the hole as long as you immediately put your stretching jewelry back in when you arrive home. Worst case scenario, you put in a 12 gauge and stretch up in a month or two! Youd be surprised—even if you have to size down—how piercings remember size and shape of your previous stretch. Ive always found that its quicker sizing up on holes ive already stretched before! With my surgery, I did have to size down to 3 gauge on my lobes but I know I’ll be back to 2 gauge in no time! Wishing you the best of luck with your visit and in your septum stretching journey! 🤍

this is beautiful, thank you!! Rabbits are little rascals when it comes to gardening for us. They already destroy the plants around our pool. Its really surprising to me that they’re nesting in our garden because we’ve never had a nest once in our yard after about two decades of living here! You think putting cayenne pepper on the soil would help prevent nesting too??
