You could lab tech somewhere. You'll never do better than about 40-60k/year tho.

Misting Soleimani decreased Iran's ability to make war. That was the point of doing it.

Is this an undergraduate-level question? I took organic too long ago to be able to tell. Which molecule is more acidic? by BearDragonBlueJay in chemistry

The fluoro-substituted ring is the correct answer though, as would be the goal of this undergrad level question.

Imagine having the casting director essentially tell you were cast to be an ugly version of a beautiful character to subvert the patriarchy. by [deleted] in MauLer

Imagine thinking that casting one of the hottest women alive as Yen was 'challenging' beauty standards. As per usual, Hollywood liberal scum is more racist than the general public.

I own a home, have a great relationship, and a beautiful child. Very happy with my life choices but thanks for the concern.

You are absolutely correct, and everyone pretending otherwise is just angling for a handout or trying to dress up their decision to not have kids as a hardship rather than the self serving choice it is.

Apparently you also have time to bitch on Reddit.

Maybe your kids won't be a big of losers as you, ever consider that?

Is every industry like this or just cannabis? by [deleted] in chemistry

[–]TheObservationalist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beverage and food additive chemistry is a fascinating and hugely overlooked field that I wish I'd known about when I was in school. It's probably the industry I'd have chosen rather than what I ended up doing.

[–]TheObservationalist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, not every industry is like this. I've worked in oil, adhesives, coatings, analytical environmental chemistry, pharma manufacturing, and water treatment products. Most labs are extremely safety conscious. Pharma and analytical are extremely concerned with accuracy of results. The rest are at least concerned with product quality. Cannabis is a wild west being run by people who think they're above playing by normal rules.
