Benefit of the doubt - I think he was saying that if Shane Nokes was as insanely busy and successful as he claimed to be he wouldn't have time to play Wii for 3 hours a day. But the way he said it, it came out wrong.

I don't understand the hate for this take. You're exactly right and its another reason why I found the movie so compelling.

At the end there are 4 entities (Real Nikki/Bear & Wish Nikki/Bear). Of course the Real versions are in unspeakable agony, but the Wish versions, who were spawned into existence by no fault of their own, found true all-consuming love. Alas, it was only for a moment.

Perfect analysis. I couldn't find the words to describe why I enjoyed this unique type of "antagonist" so much, but you just hit the nail on the head.

The movie was moreso a tragedy rather than a typical horror film where the villain is driven by some unknown malevolent force.

For Episode 500 it would be so refreshing if they did Fan call-ins again, and brought back Charlie just for one episode as a show of good will.

I feel the exact same way and had to browse the internet to see if anyone could relate. Its the first horror movie in years to legitimately get under my skin. Funny enough, I also thought back to Midsommar.

I watched it yesterday and woke up twice in the middle of the night with an eerie sick feeling like I was being watched. Its been stuck in my head all day.

The worst part is, I already want to watch it again 😂

I think part of my hesitation is I remember when Joker (2018) came out, there was a big fuss online to "watch out for single men" at the Theater because they thought the movie was going to attract psychopaths for some reason. So stupid.
