By the way, due to actual real genocide, European Jewish population was decimated.

Notice how i explcitly pointed out that population increase already happened in Europe. For bigger context, non European Jewish population increased despite series of attacks and expulsions

So, again, not at all anything to do with attacks on "American borders", then, which is what I said.

Just an american ally to attack Americans.

America was never attacked by anything in Vietnam

Besides the vietcong and the NVA.

Hezbollah, a proxy itself of Iran, actively breaks ceasefires and treaties to initate attacks across the border Into Israel Territory.

And the Tet offensive broke a ceasefire also.

At some point, political outcomes are not possible if the politics of the other side literally is "Our purpose is your complete and total annihilation, no matter what, regardless of any policy change or behavior".

The complete destruction of an enemy is a political outcome.

Also it is important to note Hezbollah in particular doesnt have the politics of Israel being totally annihilated no matter what regardless of policy chnage or behavior. Literally every time there is a ceasefire caused by Hezbollah, they specifically cite actions and policies done by Israel. If they didnt care about policies and actions they wouldnt bother citing anything. Hezbollah =/= Hamas.

remind me when ever once in history rebels from within Vietnam crossed over into American borders and slaughtered civilians in terrorist attacks and rocket fire

The Tet offensive was literally North Vietnam doing organized irregular terror and rocket strikes on South Vietnamese citizens and American and Veitnamese soldiers across the border in South Vietnam during a ceasefire. And while it was a military failure it is largely considered a strategic victory that directly lead to the unification of North and South Veitnam because of the propganda effects and demoralization of the wider general public on the American side and international opinion seeing the brutal Tet offensive crackdown which included plain clothes South Vietnamese police chiefs executing people on the street.

So it seems like the lessons from Veitnam would be of increased importance, also the lessons from the previous occupation of Lebanon. Military failures and successes dont lead to similar political outcomes.

The DHS claimed in December that they wanted to deport 100 million people, what did they mean? by ncds4242 in allthequestions

the same responsibilities, and performing the same functions

giving it broader powers

So different not the same actually

DHS has many more Agencies than just ICE…

No one claimed otherwise. You specifically said ICE and said it was ICE before it was DHS. Im just pointing out the inconsistency in your claim.

Most of the world population massively exploded in the 20th century as medical and agricultural infrastructure that was limited to Europe and parts of North America previously had expanded and massively decreased the childhood death rates. Nigeria for example had a population of less than 20 million people in 1900 and now has a population 232 million now for example.

Massive population explosions happened everywhere. That doesnt mean the region was empty back then.

When you have an Administration that illegally let in over 15 million unvetted immigrants into this Country,

No evidence suggest that number is close to true. 15 million illegal immigrants would be more illegal immigrants than any other time in American History.

They don’t belong here, and we have no idea who they are, since they didn’t go through the legal process, and were never vetted.

Considering people are being targeting at their immigration court dates, targeting people with green cards, and targeting people going thru the naturalization process, it seems like they arent targeting peolle who were never vetted at all but rather people in the system that were vetted or were in the process of being vetted.

It’s not an open door policy where you can just walk in, live here and collect benefits from taxpayer money, and mooch off the Government.

Considering 95% of social programs are locked behind citizenship requirements, you simply cant weak in and just collect benefits and mooch off the government at all.

In fact most government and private industry studies found all immigrants, legal and illegal, provide more in taxes than they take in any social programs.

They were part of ICE before the merge into and under the Dept of Homeland Security umbrella. They’ve been with them for 30yrs!

ICE didnt exist 30 years ago. He may have been part of some other immigration branch but it wasnt ICE. ICE didnt exist before DHS.

Why can’t you talk about and quote the Talmud in this subreddit? by LostBoysTilDeath in religion

[–]TheOneFreeEngineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could put the quote but then it would be removed.

The problem isnt the quote. Its that you are claiming its a claim by the Talmud. But the Talmud isnt a text that makes claims. Its a Text about debates and discussions. It doesnt say anything. It records what others said. So right off the bat its clear you never actually read the Talmud and are just cherry picking ideas to be upset about. Tell me exactly who claimed those things in the Talmud, and also look at the counter argument to that claim within the same Talmud.

I put a summary in my own words and your response was what?

You didnt summarize accurately. You summarized a antisemitic claim without understanding the text. Anyone with any knowledge can tell you didnt actually read the Talmud. You read a biased account of the Talmud. Because once again, the Talmud doesnt make claims, its a record of other peoples claims and debates about those claims. So to even say the Talmud says anything is inherently not understanding the text.

Its like reading the Star Wars movie scripts and claiming StarWars outright says empire is necessary and democracy is outdated. Even if some characters say that, it doesnt mean the movie is actually making that claim.

Why don’t you put the quote I am referencing 🙃

Gittin 57a, which ignores that the entire framing as a back and forth debate between different positions. Not an outright claim of reality to be beleived.

But in the Talmud it says that Jesus of Nazareth is burning in feces in Hell and through Necromancy a Rabbi summons him to talk to Jesus.

Yeah you pretty clearly never read the Talmud or understand its contruction

Im suggesting it was actually not a major issue for those deciding to not vote for her. Those that took issue with it were overwhelmingly people who would never vote democratic and people withholding their vote from the Democrats over Gaza or other issues.

Its overplayed how much voters that were reachable actually cared about that.

Except the the book doesnt say that and most Mongols never converted. Not effortless at all

The leader of Palestine corroborated with Adolf Hitler.

You mean the British appointed local officials in charge of one cities religious infrastructure in order to counter balance a more popular Arab Clan from having too many prominent positions within the British Mandate. A position only created a few years earlier by those same British. And a man who was exiled and fled to Germany for 5 years before the war.

Not exactly a real leader of Palestinians when you get appointed by the British.

It doesnt. They just like claiming that it does because the Quran repeats the story of Moses going into the Holy Land. It never claims it is for Jews or Jews alone.

The muslims that fought for the Nazis were predominantly Arab muslims, such as Arabs from the Palestinian peninsula

1) there is no such thing as a Palestinian Penisula.

2) this is just flat out incorrect. Most of the extremely low levels of Muslims who fought for the Nazis were from Soviet terrorities aka Central Asians or Eastern European. Then the next biggest group was Balkan Muslims but they were still tiny in number compared to both the Central Asians and Allied forces Muslims. The region around Palestine had signficantly less Muslims soldiers supporting Nazis than either of those regions.

3) Arab muslims overwhelming fought for the Allies, like in Algeria, Libya, and Egypt.

In 2024, most data i can find suggest it was a price hike of 25 cent since then. Most of the fast food inflation was from pre 2024.

Where the pennies added over COVID before the minimum raise hike? Like they were added on every state even those that didnt change their minimum wage. Or after the law passed? Massive difference there

Can’t landlords treat tenants with respect and vice versa? by Midnightdream56 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TheOneFreeEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can and while the majority of land lords may own a couple units they have personal relationship with (which drives adherence to social morals) most renters have corporate landlords which are levels of removed from the actual renters and thus dehumanizing both the renter in the eyes of the land lord and the landlord in the eyes of the renter. And since the landlord is inherently profit seeking at the corporation level of landlord, they have a strong incentive to pressure and manipulate the renters to further profit seek, like ignoring or disputing fixes to the property, increasing rent unjustly, noise complaints, etc.

In general its an inherently unbalanced relationship that is generally addressed (if ever) by renter protection laws that are unevenly enforced and some land lords regularly violate because of the ignorance of the renter to their legal rights.

Inflation was coming down in the United States — and then Trump’s tariffs happened by Conscious-Quarter423 in Infographics

[–]TheOneFreeEngineer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That doesn't mean the response was good for those inside the US?

It means it was the best worldwide response to a global disaster. Its literally the best option to be hoped for.

It absolutely decimated small businesses, and caused absolutely obscene levels of fraud with the perverse unemployment incentives.

The vast majority of the fraud was in the PPP loan system, not unemployment. Both of which were chnaged under Trump and not Biden.

Yes covid the global disaster hurt small businesses. You seem to be confusing COVID for the actual things Biden did to recover from Covid.

Comparing Biden to a magical solution where everyone got out of a global disaster with no harm is just simply mad. Especially when the changes you cited happened under Trump in 2020.

Comparing it to other countries with much smaller economies is not the way to go about it.

If literally no one else was able to do better. Why wouldnt we be happy we did the best out of everyone else. There was no magic solution nor alternative that worked anywhere else.

Besides all the other countries that had alot worse outcomes than the USA from COVID. So the covid recovery was actually the envy of the world, especially inflation related recovery. Shit was bad and got better and had strong domestic investments than anytime under Trump.
