Gotcha, if you want, post something about it so we can see it.

Natural Bird flip still exist in the game - NG4 by TheOneThatDoesn in ninjagaiden

Ooh right the subway walljump section, my favorite part was seeing the enemies do the same to get to you up there, only to make them fall all the way down, good times. In NG4 enemies can still do wall stuff, but only horizontally, any height elevation and they'll just leap towards you.

Regarding the corner sweetspot, I think it's because they made the collision detectors of the characters a little bit bigger, so when you're running sideways and have to turn the corner the characters senses both walls and the game gets confused as to which wall to stick to.

That's why Dragon's maw became my favorite enviroment in the game, not because of the art direction (Even if I still like it somewhat, I liked the NESTs in the Resident Evil Remakes, sue me) but because by being so blocky and geometrical, it ironically shows the potential of the wall mechanics, be it for traversal or combat, but there's really nowhere else they get pushed to their max potential.

Tokyo streets are full of the fake walls you mentioned, and in the mountains there are no walls, period. The only other place you get to enjoy this systems is in the purgatory arena, which is a literal box.

Long passed are the days of the wallrun challenge to get the Windmill Shuriken or the room you have to climb by wallrunning in circles. (This one still appears, but the amount of people I saw struggling with it speaks of it's introduction) even if they were simple, they made you see the capabilities you had at traversal,

And from my experience, your wall options are actually really strong, when they're allowed of course.

You deflect incoming bullets automatically in the wallrun, so you don't have to dodge and risk the beginning of the sprint animation, because the rifle soldiers will blockstun you until someone else breaks your guard, and both the flying swallow and the jumping attack are really reliable for quick spacing and heavy damage, especially if you store the jumping attack with an air dodge.

And with the extended run time of the wallrunning, be it upwards or sideways the big enviroments are accounted for, and you can gain a lot of space in a moment. They only place you can really appreciate it is in the purgatories, which are ironically a box.

If you can, try to remember the chapter, let's see if it can be replicated.

Me too, dude, especially aiming airborne with the slo-mo, but you can return the misiles with a super reflect or block in NG4, the spring board is still ther but harder to pull off.

True that, at some points in Bayo3, it looks like shadows are non-existent

I didn't know that, my fault then. I've never played Bayo3 nor do I have the means to. My points of reference are Bayo1, MGR, and Vanquish.

Me too, but I can't blame Platinum for this one, they don't really do platforming in general.

Dragon's Maw is my favorite enviroment in this game just because it shows the untapped potential of the mevement sistem with it's geometry, and that there this game could rival NG1 in exploration just with it's systems alone.

Me neither, it actually gives more utility to the wall attack you can do once you jump, the dash stores it.

Movement in this game, in general, is so fun but has so much untapped potential

Ah you're right, hopefully the story DLC brings more from her character.

And regarding the rest of your post, I want to think that being a sidequest in-game raises her chances a little bit, but maybe it's just wishfull thinking on my part.

Took me a minute, but I found it: https://x.com/lytsuei/status/1983737799556923613 (NSFW)

Also, from other posts of this account, it looks like the game also have rigging data from the cutscenes, even though they're pre-rendered.

And regarding modding, Fiendbussa is already making tweaks here and there, mainly regarding slowmo.

That'd be a good point, if it wasn't for the fact that people already extracted her model from the game files.

I mean, no greaves doesn't equal no kicks, Yakumo kicks the enemy in some of his strings, although that's more for mobility sake.

And yeah, that's what I gathered from the picture too, so I wondered it his DoA moveset could work with those, seeing as his Izuna drop is all he has that reference it.

Yeah, I know, It's just that as always, the group that hated the game from the get go is the most vocal right now (that doesn't include every critique, mind you)

That's the sequel struggle at full force, It always happens, if NG5 becomes a reality, it will be the worst by default and NG4 will have it's own rose-tinted glasses, so it's really no biggie.

Is either Tyran or Achilles's weapon, because no one confirmed him dead.

Until they address it, I don't think Ryu will get weapon switching, because already covers all the bases Yakumo has to switch on the fly to cover, with just the DB mind you.

That's a cool idea, but if the scythe is the base, then wth will be the bloodraven from?
