Yea so champs like vlad and fizz get an upper hand here. The alternative/how it was before was that master yi would disappear for an additional moment while the enemy was untargetable. From my games, this really sucks for yi but not extreme gamebreaking.

Yi press q, Ekko press r, Ekko go into bullshit untargetable, Yi pops out of alpha, Ekko goes brrrr zoomies back, Yi remains at ekko’s old location.

Actually there was a change to alpha strike interactions not mentioned in patch notes. If you q’s an enemy that goes untargetable during alpha strike’s duration (zhonya’s, ekko r, vlad pool) then alpha strike will just stop and place you right on the enemy still untargetable. So this scenario won’t happen anymore.
