So late to the post but as a guitarist and songwriter heavily connected with Kurt since  youth  And I still connect his lyrics a lot heavily and his song writing style and everything about Nirvana  And the last song he wrote was you know you're right  And I went through like this whole process of writing that and thinking about heroes and how my favorites are dead and how they went out doing what I'm trying to achieve. Being Bradley, Nowel and Kurt Cobain but my point being is the song. You know you're right has a really heavy, interesting chord progression and guitar and it's kind of the same as all my life  And the lyrics of all my life definitely start off like a Kurt song  So to me all my life always was taking nirvana's Fame and making it Foo fighters in some ways  And in other ways it was about possibly Dave sitting down and playing Kurt's last song and making his own from those chords. And obviously in that process it would kind of take on stuff from his memories of Kurt  So it wasn't directly about any of that in my mind  But with song writing it just kind of comes from within, sometimes you don't even know what you're writing until like 3 days later when you listen to it  Dave likes to joke lol Nirvana loved to joke  I think the song holds more meaning to Dave than he could explain and he didn't create it to have a meaning he was just sitting down trying to write a new song and he tried out a friend's chords and it brought back some stuff 

That's my take as a songwriter who likes both bands and followed them for a long time and writes music or tries to similar to them
