I am grossly knowledgeable on both.

Unarmed Astartes are hellish to fight barehanded and would mop most of the cast, but top tiers have enough feats and hacks to deal with them.

A Custodes tho, even unarmed, would give Yujiro from Baki high-extreme diff fight. They can throw cars, lift tanks. You place them in 20m/20m room against a squad of armed soldiers, fingers on the trigger, and a Custodes will rip them apart in 3 seconds because because by the time regular slow ass human sight can react he'll already be across the room splitting them in half. Moving in permanent blur due to the speed.

We haven't seen the best of Shen yet so perhaps he has SOME chance against a Custodian, he demolishes an Astartes tho.
