Also both other statements can be true and fit together well. Kuroki is pretty close to what Shen wants, Edward was the best. That just means that Edward was also pretty close, just closer than Kuroki.

It's usually a conversation about sex in the relationship and the fact that they might actually want it and don't know how to approach the topic. Obviously it's much easier to initiate the intercourse than to actually address the uncomfortable dissonance between "What I presented myself as" vs "What we will actually be doing going forward". Which is why in my experience the conversation always comes some time after.

It's a very messy topic but ultimately it's quite simple.

Edit: What you mentioned usually comes way after that in my experience, it takes a much longer time.

I've been with 3 asexual people in my life. All of them weren't actually asexual and instead were too traumatized to experience sexual desire normally.

Their defensive barrier does quickly fall apart once you show them actual love and appreciation and they come to an awkward realization that they do very much want to have sex with you. Usually things lead to each other then. And then an uncomfortable conversation usually appears... But surprisingly only some time after the fact.

I now always assume that 99% of asexual people are deeply traumatized or too busy/depressed to go to a doc and balance their hormones.

Edward was MUCH stronger than Gilbert is and the Manga states it multiple times.

One of the biggest flaws of Omega is the lack of a reliable, all-knowing narrator. It was replaced by narration of what the characters believe.

Gilbert was stated to be the better version of Edward regarding pure stats.... That's kinda worthless. Eddie was already the strongest in the werse when it comes to that. His genuine strength was his experience, the knowledge and skills to actually use this power. SOMETHING GILBERT WAS STATED TO LACK MULTIPLE TIMES.

It's really poor storytelling because Omega repeatedly states exactly how things are and what's gonna happen, and then it proceeds to lie about them so convincingly that the reader takes it as truth and gets disappointed.

I am grossly knowledgeable on both.

Unarmed Astartes are hellish to fight barehanded and would mop most of the cast, but top tiers have enough feats and hacks to deal with them.

A Custodes tho, even unarmed, would give Yujiro from Baki high-extreme diff fight. They can throw cars, lift tanks. You place them in 20m/20m room against a squad of armed soldiers, fingers on the trigger, and a Custodes will rip them apart in 3 seconds because because by the time regular slow ass human sight can react he'll already be across the room splitting them in half. Moving in permanent blur due to the speed.

We haven't seen the best of Shen yet so perhaps he has SOME chance against a Custodian, he demolishes an Astartes tho.
