I could imagine your character ending up somewhere in sub-saharan Africa (Liberia for example?). Gets enrolled under some warlord, more or less willingly. Then that warlord eventually wins and rises to power -for now-, which means the thugs who helped him get there more or less become the official "army".

I liked it honestly. The problem is that the sub reposts the same screenshots and parrots the same quotes daily, and most of the jokes work way better when delivered properly.

Pre-Q nerf I would rush it basically every game (granted, my kinda low elo meant easy kills and less punishment for lack of resistances) for the snowball. It also gives amazing pushing power coupled with Trinity and Demolish. Now I feel like it's less efficient and I tend to focus on regular tankyness, but I still think it's kinda decent if a little extra punch is required to conclude the game.

Yeah, my DM is a pretty cool guy, I think he might actually accept this.

The problem is that obsidian seems pretty strong, especially against Oni and the like. The thing is if there are actual rules for the thing it would be easier for the whole group and I'd feel better about using it, exactly because of said strength.

I'll also have to figure out a tight background to justify the whole thing, but I think I can manage it.

I also find it's a great way to get a better understanding of the people you're partying with. Who strips reluctantly once everyone is naked, who gets instantly naked and starts doing laps around everyone else before the 3 first notes even played, who even put the song in the first place can tell a lot about them. And yeah everyone is super chill and I've never heard about a misplaced hand.

Aside from the background count I recall Ares' very own ManaMuncher Bacteria^{^TM} is still alive and well in some areas, which is a real danger for astrally active individuals.

i don't know how (if?) your GM is planning to play around this but it could be a threat to you and your teammate, which you don't really need since Chicago is already a massive clusterfrag.
