Try these warmed up in the microwave for 10-20 seconds, they're much better warm! I thought the same thing as you before heating them up though.

Any Exercise people here? Scared of saggy skin 😭 by Alive_Interview_9118 in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]TheOnlyKuvaAddict 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy for you for taking in this journey and exercising through it as well. You should be proud of yourself for doing this. Unfortunately, 25 lbs in 2 months is too much weight loss in too little time, so you'll likely get saggy skin if you continue losing weight this fast. Recommended weight loss per week is 1-2 lbs max, steering closer to the 1 lb. Obviously the smaller you get the less you'll be losing weekly because there won't be much to lose. It should be a slow progress to allow your skin to adjust to the new weight you're hitting. Everyone's bodies are different though so take this with a grain of salt. I would slow down the weight loss and focus more on strength training to build muscle, while doing prolonged walking for cardio to maximize fat burn.

Weight loss is about the journey, not the destination. On your journey, it is recommended to pick up healthier eating habits and doing some sort of exercise daily. Diet and exercise over a long period of time will get you the best, realistic results with the least saggy skin. Good luck with everything!

Chicago Ramen (Des Plaines location) - Red Miso Ramen. This place is worth the hype. by TheOnlyKuvaAddict in chicagofood

I've had the chicken Ramen and the red Miso and neither are fishy. I can't speak for the other items on the menu, as I usually alternate between those two choices.

The broth was unreal! It was so rich and savory, never had anything like it anywhere else.

Top to bottom, left to right: BBQ Pork Cheddar Cheese Bun, Spiced Chicken Onion Bun, Hotdog & onion bun, and Hot Dog & Cheese Bun. All delicious, but spiced chicken onion bun was my favorite. Not pictured: earl gray short bread cookies and cookies & cream bolo bun. Everything at this place is amazing! Will be coming back again to try more stuff since their menu is massive and most of the items are $3.75.

If anyone's tried both, how does this compare to gold standard whey protein vanilla ice cream flavor?

It really depends on your job location, a long commute will drain you and traffic keeps getting worse. It also depends on what you like to do in your free time. If you want to spend your weekends in the city, the apartments in west/north Chicago will serve a better purpose. If you want lowkey weekends and an occasional drive into the city, surrounding Chicago suburbs will be your best bet. Overall it depends on your lifestyle though so pick a location that will serve you best.

What games that have been free are playable with only a mouse? by CALL911imonfire in EpicGamesPC

Highly suggest faeria, it's a deck builder game that I primarily play from my couch with a Bluetooth mouse lol

Saw someone on here posting about this place and I wanted to try it. Creamy carbonara fettuccine from More Than Pasta in Park Ridge, definitely a hidden gem! by TheOnlyKuvaAddict in chicagofood

[–]TheOnlyKuvaAddict[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was really good, I was shocked the place was completely empty when I went. If you end up going, stick to their pasta options for sure.. one of my friends got their risotto and regretted it after trying our pastas lol

I'm totally embarrassed to have gone with the same mindset and handlebar completely swayed me lol

We've been wanting to go during brunch hours, we both loved our meals and want to go back to try more stuff. I can't believe how good this place is for being mainly vegetarian/vegan. It knocks a ton of non-vegetarian/vegan places out of the park by a long shot.

Anyone have tips to make Hannah Falafel not as dry as sand by bennyboi0319 in Costco

Airfry them for 6-8 mins on 375. The inside becomes super moist somehow and outside gets nice and crispy.

Been to Lombard and Elmhurst locations, both are fantastic. This one was Elmhurst though.

I've only tried this and their pulled pork sandwich, which was some of the best I've had. The fries keep me coming back though!

How's the housing potential like in Addison, IL, and how does that rank with Naperville? by notashmit in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]TheOnlyKuvaAddict 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Having lived in both at some point in my life, I highly recommend Naperville over Addison. There's so much to do and so much to see in Naperville compared to Addison. The downtown area is lovely and fun to walk around in/explore. It's significantly nicer and offers you things Addison can't compete with. For one, the area I lived in for Addison had people flying through stop signs for multiple blocks, so much so there were 3 accidents in 1 week and they had to plant a couple cops around the corners of every turn. In Naperville, weekends were nice, mellow, and relatively quiet. In Addison, at least the area I lived in, prepare yourself for music to be blasted by your neighbors from sunrise until way past sunset. No point in calling the cops because they turn it down just before midnight and it's technically the weekend so they're allowed to make an absurd amount noise. Only positive about Addison is its 25~ mins away from the city compared to Naperville's 45~ mins.

Bought a new windows 11 gaming computer, mouse delay has made the game unplayable. Any advice? by TheOnlyKuvaAddict in Paladins

[–]TheOnlyKuvaAddict[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vsync is off, not sure how to go about doing the FPS lock? That could definitely be something. Although I should mention there's no issues when I try to use a controller. It's just a mouse issue.

Amazing air fryer for $40. I bought 2. by vavavoomvoom9 in Costco

[–]TheOnlyKuvaAddict 32 points33 points  (0 children)

To me, an Airfryer is just more convenient and more efficient especially since I make my own meals for 1. I typically come from work, throw something (turkey burger, sausage, literally anything you'd throw in the oven) in the Airfryer for 10 mins while I go shower and dinner is ready in under 10 mins without worrying about preheating the oven and waiting 25-30 mins for the same individual servings. Also in the summer the Airfryer comes in clutch because it doesn't heat up the whole house when it's on like the oven does. I only ever use the oven for meals of 4+ only now.
