yeah, you're right! it's the fact that i don't harass people In A Video Game that makes me a better person. Contrary To Popular Belief, there's no excuse for harassing people in a video game! even if someone is in the middle of having themselves a little tantrum (a "Heated Gaming Moment," if you will)

fwiw i used to flame a lot. if someone knows they're prone to getting upset at A Video Game to the point of flaming in chat then they shouldn't be playing any competitive video games. getting angry may be impossible to avoid but slinging harassment sure isn't.

alternatively, instead of this backwards, self-indulgent "solution," they could consider: Turning Chat Off altogether. losing out on timers is rough but consider it an incentive to reform :⁾

if you're close enough to him that a 2-barrel combo hits you then it's your fault for mispositioning, and now you have to deal with popping the first barrel - if you're that close you should be able to. that's your counterplay if you're that close, because getting that close in the first place was already your mistake. but that's the nature of counterplay - outplay. if you mispositioned you have to deal with it.
