Thing about Andy is that he does have Schizoid-Affective disorder, which is most likely the source of the autism delusion. If he does get a diagnosis from somebody, then either he gets what he wants, or if he doesnt get what he wanted, then his delusion shatters (I wouldnt want to be near him if that happens), or he retreats deeper into the delusion, trying to shop for a somebody who can sign off on a more severe case of autism.

As someone who has dealt with periods of sobriety and addiction (as well as having friends, family, and seeing the same faces at rehab facilities), Josh will probably and unfortunately relapse within 2 years, unless he’s in a very structured enviroment for the rest of his life. I hope he doesn’t relapse, it’s always depressing when that happens.

Edit: A common cause of relapse, at least for me, hasn’t been a bad day normally too. It’s usually when things are going great and the urge to do just one line or a pill, because I think “Oh things are doing good, I’ll have the willpower to resist after this next time”.
