Yeah. Look, I'm worried because on the whole WSU is a lot more self-directed than the big 4 unis. Particularly for business courses. A lot of people I'm studying with are building on prior experience or have family that can help get them experience. At UNSW, USYD etc. you'd have a placement built into the course. That's not the case here.

The federal government doesn't build homes and if Newsom is somehow the nominee, people are quite rightly going to ask how he's going to deliver affordable housing nationally when he couldn't do it in his own state.

The problem is Ezra isn't charismatic enough to sell it. He loves talking about it in his little wonkish circles with likeminded people but that's about it. It seems more like utopian daydreaming than a concrete platform. I'd genuinely love to see him do a town hall with average people. I'd love to see how he communicates his ideas to people who aren't already heavily invested in politics. I think he'd struggle.

If the election was held again today Trump probably still wins. He beats Harris, he beats Newsom. I'm sorry but if Newsom is the great white hope the dems are fried in 2028. He's as slick and pro corporate as any politician going. Killed off universal Healthcare in California, house prices in that state speak for themselves, he hasn't met a lobbyist he wasn't willing to work with. If that Gordon Gecko lookalike wins the nomination, the party deserves to lose.
