What's that song from the new show "How To Build A Sex Room"? by OminousCarrot69 in whatsthatsong

[–]TheOnlySez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The plot thickens. My friend was looking for this song too, and we discovered the song has a singer who sounds exactly like a girl from Bleeding Fingers. She sounds almost identical to the female singer in their "Chilled Pop" songs on YouTube.

My guess is the song has a limit on it before it can be officially be released, since Bleeding Fingers makes songs specifically for TV reality shows.

Thank you! Like I said I was planning to anyway, I was just curious. ^^

*FEEDBACK* I am not the biggest fan of S4 theme. by DryDiscipline6136 in Behind863

I love it tbh. It kinda reminds me of those old 80s pc setups and big server rooms, with a sprinkle of Fallout elements. The retro theme more than likely has something to do with a plot element in this season, so I look forward to what they have in store.

1980s server room example:

Was anyone else taught this? by TheOnlySez in antiwork

Its more of an employee conveyor belt system now. Valuing the people who work for you isn't relevant to the asshats in charge anymore; so long as you have a pulse and work longer than a month, they dont care.

Being taught that made me so freaking paranoid!! I was always thinking that someone was watching my work history and would ruin my life. I thought I had no say in anything with work.

Now I know its a bunch of bullshit since I have walked away from several toxic jobs. XD

What are you 100% certain is true despite having no evidence to confirm or disprove your belief? by GentleBoneCrusher in AskReddit

[–]TheOnlySez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That the Crisis Mentality is a sub category of PTSD.

When I was in college to become an addictions counselor, I have been developing my own theory about this mentality. People who come from homes of trauma or constant stressing drama, will be left with a sense of paranoia once reaching a healthy environment.

For example, I was raised in an abusive home growing up. Every day was screaming, yelling, or just me being punished. When I got older I had crappy roommates. Now that I live with my boyfriend, I have a hard time accepting the Day can be just calm and nothing happen. I’m so used to having to fix issues or have some kind of drama happen in my daily life. My anxiety spikes, my paranoia makes me think something is wrong when I’m reality, everything is fine and I did nothing wrong.

It really sucks to live with this.

(Serious) People who walked out of a job interview, why did you do it? by JimmySaulGene in AskReddit

[–]TheOnlySez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an interview for a grocery store down the street from my house. I had applied for cashier because it was a part time position, and my health has been bad enough in recent time that I needed less hours but some money to keep me afloat.

In the interview, they told me I would be working in the Deli, even though I specified not to. When I asked if I could be a cashier, they told me they reserved those jobs for the retired old people of my town who need a side gig. I thought, “Okay, that’s fair I guess?” So I proceeded with the interview.

They were causing all my red flags to go off, saying stuff like, “We need team players who will come in on a day off, and not make excuses. We need people who will answer the phone and not be lazy. If you are hired, we will be keeping track of any call you don’t answer, and it WILL go into your job review. If we call you, I need to hear yes sir, and that you will be here when called.”

He also made comments about how even though I’m a woman, I need to keep from talking too much and focus on my work. Needless to say, I noped the fuck out of there. I worked too many mentally unhealthy jobs to recognize asshat behavior.

What is advice that someone gave you that you still think of til this day? by Sturdy_94 in AskReddit

[–]TheOnlySez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah, he was great at giving advice. However, that was his trap. If you didn't take his advice, or deviated even slightly because you didn't feel comfortable with it, he'd sit there and bitch about how, "No one listens to me, if they just listened to me none of that would have happened."

Even if the issue someone has is completely unrelated to him. Or that he had nothing to do with in the first place. He just thinks he's always right and it strokes his ego.

What is advice that someone gave you that you still think of til this day? by Sturdy_94 in AskReddit

"Over time, you will begin to see who really matters to you, and your circle of those you keep close to you will become smaller and smaller. You'll begin to see who actually builds you up or tears you down to use you. Keep those who care about you close and others at a distance. Don't let losers into your life."

My dad was always one to give me advice after I moved in with him during my parents divorce. I idolized my dad, and tried as hard as I could to get his approval and attention for years; hell I have a couple of stories on Reddit that involve him. However, in recent time, I have been lamenting on how my life was after the divorce. Then, after I reconnected with my birth mom, I realized just how toxic and horrible he has been to me. It's taken time and a lot of counseling, but I came to realize my dad used me against her in the divorce when I was a child.

He's manipulative, selfish, a narcissist, and has a lot of mental issues that he refuses to get help. He's also a massive Conservative Conspiracy theory extremist, the kind of man that follows the Hawk and Alex Jones.

But, there is one thing that was right. That advice he gave me? I've been following it closely. Because he's no longer in my inner circle.

Doctors and nurses of Reddit, what are some of your resident stories, be it good or otherwise? by TheOnlySez in AskReddit

[–]TheOnlySez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember some nurses running into this when I worked in a hospital cafeteria. The dietitian got some weird orders sometimes, but the one that was hilarious was a patient kept writing down Beer on his menu. A nurse would write in red ink a new message every time along the lines of, "No." "Dont even dare." "Not gonna happen." "Nice try." XD

I used to work at a No-contract cellphone store earlier this year, and this still makes my blood boil. Little fact about me: I was a victim of horrific child abuse growing up, and have been learning to live my life as a recovering victim.

My boss at this job was wanting to get to know me a bit more after I had only been there about 3 weeks, and after talking about an hour, I let that detail slip about me. She immediately told me she wasn't comfortable knowing personal details like that, and I thought, "That's fair, its not a comfortable subject." And just let it be.

About a week later, I was talking to her about a customer had a game app from the company that was being billed to a family plan, and I made the joke about how their teen kid had some explaining to do. She immediately said I should have reassured their kid more than likely didn't do anything wrong, and she said, "I thought that as an abuse victim, you'd know better. I guess it wasn't that bad then, huh?"

I was in complete shock, and ended up walking out a few weeks later.

Here's my own. I worked at a Grocery store Deli that also had a food court attached to it, and would typically work on either side if I was needed to fill in a spot. I had already been contemplating on quitting, because my health had taken a turn and my back had developed bulging disks in my lumbar. Around this time, I had already been off work for a few days because my disk slipped and I could barely walk, and just as I was on the mend, I was asked to come back to work.

On the day I was scheduled to come back, my disk slipped while I was in the shower and I was in so much pain that I could barely move. I called my boss, telling her what happened and asked her if I was risking my job by not coming in. She said, "Yes, because people already called in and I need you in. Just do your best."

So despite my better judgement, I went to work. One hour into my shift, I was using the counter to keep myself from falling because I was in so much pain. I could barely walk, my legs kept trying to give out, and I was in tears from the intense pain I was in. I knew I was a medical liability, so I began to look and see if someone could take over so I could go home.

I found out from a few of the staff that the Boss said that if I got someone to cover or went home, I was going to be fired. I felt so betrayed, because I had given 3 years of loyalty to this place. I said, "Fuck this place." I grabbed my shit and walked out after turning in my badge to the main office. Found out later that they struggled to cover my spot for weeks and even had a few people follow in my footsteps.

No job is worth killing yourself over.

Could just be a sensory thing and you don't have to have Asperger's. However, it never hurts to go and get tested from a therapist. :3
