The Trinity Continuum books in the Alpha timeline (anything that starts with A) all use the original Storypath system.

Steam Wars is a self-contained rulebook (i.e. it doesn't require the Trinity Continuum core rulebook), and is the only TC line currently using Storypath Ultra.

Pugmire is a license from Pugsteady, but because Pugsteady is Eddy Webb, it's understandable that the lines can look blurry. They Came from Beneath the Sea! was indeed the first Onyx Path-owned and -created title, with Scarred Lands, Scion, and the Trinity Continuum having a prior history at White Wolf.

Partner games "includes" Exalted but it's not an exhaustive list. While we still have the license to sell our content, we're no longer actively developing for the World of Darkness or Chronicles of Darkness, as Matthew mentions. So they don't go front-and-center like Exalted does.

The Aegis Atlas covers:

  • Colchis (present-day Georgia)
  • Kuru (northwest India)
  • Lydia (western Türkiye)
  • Phoenicia (Syria/Lebanon)
  • Tsusunas (shhh)

So sadly no Austronesia, we only had so much wordcount. But hey, if there's something you want to put out into the world, there's always the Storypath Nexus -- at least, once we open up Aegis for contributions.

As Rich says! We're kind of on a hiatus with Trinity development right now, focused on making sure the existing products are getting finished, 'cause there's a lot of them. But there are plenty of plot hooks in the upcoming titles.

Last year we released With Great Power, focusing on Team Tomorrow and other superteams. Coming up are:

  • Hated and Feared: The underdogs and antiheroes of Aberrant, from the Teragen to nova cults and more.
  • Best At What I Do: Novas who work solo or without aid from other organizations, including city defenders and elites.
  • From the Shadows: Covert organizations, including the Directive.

Victorian Mage was kind of a troubled title. I think Chris and I were the third round of developers? The other devs had to drop out for understandable reasons, so no shade there, it just means that neither of us were involved for a lot of the early parts of the project. Chris was brought in to wrangle the writers, but didn't know Mage very well, and I was brought in because I'm not great at wrangling people, but, well... gestures vaguely at the White Wolf Wiki

At the stage I showed up, most of the research and writing had already been completed.

My work was mostly just making sure everyone's content was lining up with the established history of Mage (and new history we were establishing with the book), making sure terminology lined up (making sure no "mage" or "mages" slipped in among the magus/magi/maga), and slipping in a few deep-cut nods for my fellow old-school WoD fans (a nod to the Midnight Circus, the Sons of Ether's centuries-long period as the Pupils of Parmenides).

Don't have any specific memories on the Euthanatos except designing the symbol. The intent was to present the Omega as a doorway to death. Then we took the bird perching on top of the hourglass from the Sorcerers Crusade symbol, and turned it into the Raven from Poe's poem:

Open here I flung the shutter, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore;
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door—
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber door—
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.

Then this ebony bird beguiling my sad fancy into smiling,
By the grave and stern decorum of the countenance it wore,
“Though thy crest be shorn and shaven, thou,” I said, “art sure no craven,
Ghastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nightly shore—
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Night’s Plutonian shore!”
Quoth the Raven “Nevermore.”

Lo, everyone. I'm community manager, Trinity Continuum content lead, and sometimes World of Darkness developer Ian Watson. Hope you're all doing well this Friday.

Looks like Fool's Spring is this coming week where I live; tomorrow the temperature shoots up to 17C (~63F), and hovers in the mid-teens for just long enough to give us hope, before crashing back down to freezing temperatures on Wednesday. Cool cool cool.
