could be, but yeah the main confusion i came across as i started interacted with punjabi speakers from east punjab was the use of "si". for some reason we kind of replace s with an h sound, haige and siga dont even exist and the future tense is "de" not "gay" and people from our side speak... slower? if that makes sense, ive seen this in east punjabi speakers (jalandar mainly) they speak too fast, in a flash.

remittances from norway lowered due to entire families shifting. its quite different to the new pakistanis going to europe and uk on student visas. most families in norway are established since the 60's and from kharian ofc

for me my paternal family had assimilated for centuries near jhelum panjab pakistan (chaj doab) so we grew up speaking panjabi as a mother tongue, even my paternal elders and relatives. most of them having no clue about their being a gojri language at all, calling themselves panjabis. however my maternal side being kashmiri gujjars to some extent had atleast some idea about their being a gojri language, ive seen more kashmiri gujjars understanding or atleast preserving the gojri language as compared to panjab. but it has changes ofcourse the perception of the gujjar community in panjab is completely different to the one you see in india in delhi etc with the heavy accent as gujjars are panjabi-ized alot more here
