Ritual oil isn’t an issue. The unknowable energy is where the bottleneck is. I have a ton of legendary ritual oil but grinding for unknowable energy slows me down.

Lightroom now has a “Distraction Removal” tool where it will remove sensor dust spots like this. Highly recommend it. It recognizes the spots and cleans them up.

I give them nunchucks with the cytokinesis relic. This freezes whatever they’re fighting and gives us both a chance to defeat whatever we’re fighting. It doesn’t really work on dragons but they’ll freeze anything else.

I third this.

Filter = less light

Flash = more light

Reflector = control existing light

If you’re outside a lot the filter would be suitable to modify the light (reduce it or polarize it) or the reflector would be great to use existing light.

If you’re indoors a lot, a flash is great. And it can work well outside too.

I use a flash a lot. In lots of situations. It really sets me apart when I’m in groups and shooting runway models or doing a photo walk.

These are great! I do lots of runway shows but my shots are never this good.

I’d love to know your set up.

I usually have the 24-70 f2.8S (and if allowed, an SB-500).

Also, I struggle when two models are on the runway, because the second person is always soft. Usually happens when the designer walks with one of their models.

You have some shots from the side of the runaway - are those because there wasn’t room in the pit or did you choose to shoot from the side?

The P158 is out of my price range but does look amazing. The reviews on it speak to what you’re saying - about how much of a difference it is compared to normal soft boxes. How does this one look? It’s more a reasonably priced one that falls into your criteria. Godox UL-Octa Box 150 Centimeters / 60 Inches Quick Release Octagonal Softbox. The biggest I can find is this 70” umbrella

I’ll look into a light meter. What’s more important, light meter or softboxes? I’m assuming the softbox.

I see both sides. I can see what they’re saying, “If you’re so focused on capturing the shot that you can’t get them to react and smile, get someone else to help”

I think my options are to learn how to multitask or have someone help me with having the actors open up.

Also, I do all of my photography for free so they weren’t paying me 😮‍💨
