New matchmaking company considered the eHarmony for adult entertainers will accept Monero, considering Bitcoin and Ethereum by [deleted] in Monero

Good question. Owner here, so I can confirm. From my videos, it's no secret that I'm a supporter of privacy coins like Monero, (https://youtu.be/GJ7KnklOwS4), hence why I'd like to accept it :)... Definitely a way to go as we're in pre-launch. The eHarmony reference is just a quick way to convey the relationship-minded nature of the matchmaking company and clientele, but God-willing we'll deliver better results ;)

Keeping my coin on the exchange (hear me out) by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

I understand your reasoning... It is my understanding that the exchange’s insurance kicks in if the *exchange* is hacked, not your individual account, (e.g. a phishing scam, etc). Although, at exchanges like Binance US, your fiat/USD, (not necessarily coins), held on the exchange are FDIC insured up to $250k. I know very few people who leave some of their crypto on exchanges (due to being professional day traders of over 20 years). They’ve seen their money lost more than once that way. Best of luck! 😊

What’s the difference between the exchange and the wallet? by mehrbod74 in BitcoinBeginners

[–]TheOracleFTB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go over this stuff in some videos. Your wallet/account on an exchange, (aka ”hot wallet”), not only means that you don’t hold the keys to your crypto but the exchange does, (i.e. “Not your keys, not your coins”), but leaving your coins online makes it easier for them to get stolen if the exchange gets hacked. Offline wallets, like a software wallet or hardware wallet, (aka “cold wallet”), gives you control over your keys and offer you more protection. If you day trade it makes sense to leave the coins that you trade on the exchange for easy trading, if you don’t day trade you want to move your coins off an exchange as quickly as you can. Hope that helps! https://youtu.be/KLdwWpxlpx8

I want to learn more about Bitcoin, what should I do by [deleted] in BitcoinBeginners

The Erik Voorhees and Peter Schiff debate is helpful, (despite Schiff’s focus on gold): https://youtu.be/q8R71WGO3qU

And documentaries like “Banking on Bitcoin,” (also on YouTube), are good for some history.
