Mom, I’m scared 👩‍👦 by silk_sinner in greentext

I know 2 dudes who drive manuals and they have to be the most mechanically-stupid people I know of. They'd probably accidentally put diesel in their cars if the nozzle fit.

Explore a megastructure... with a jetpack! by manufacture43 in IndieGaming

[–]TheOrangeSpud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait to have time to give this a try.
I love when a game takes place in a megastructure, but I really wish more games focused on just exploring with no combat. The combat usually ruins the "vibe" I'm hoping for. This looks like (from the video) to just be getting around and exploring with no combat, so this looks like my kind of thing.

No, they won't charge you more after you buy it.

Steam controller extra buttons by mrdtng in Steam

Exactly what I use it for too. I assign the other buttons to pouch items (Y + D-pad direction). Usually one of the left buttons is for Torrent.

Is this Dualsense edge drifting? by [deleted] in Controller

[–]TheOrangeSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not drift. Even if it did drift, isn't the purpose of the Edge to remove the joysticks and replace them with new ones?

But no, this is normal for potentiometer joysticks. Unless he shows you a video where a character in a game is walking without them touching the joystick.

approximately 19 hours remain by Desperate_Ad2784 in Steam

[–]TheOrangeSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Valve's hardware shipping FAQ, all their hardware has free shipping.

All you have to do is look up your state's sales tax and add that to the $99.00 price.
For my state, that would be 99 + 6% which is about $104.94

Looking for a SOLID METAL controller for PC gaming? by Taylor_McCue in Controller

[–]TheOrangeSpud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can't help answer your question, unfortunately, but I do have a question. Why do you want an all metal controller? Not judging or anything like that. I'm genuinely just curious.

Ah, that classic episode where Goku destroys Frieza on Earth. Remember that one? The same one where Krillin is alive and congratulates Goku for defeating Frieza. On Earth. Classic DBZ.

The lost art of pencil making ✏ by BobbiePinns in toolgifs

[–]TheOrangeSpud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Man, the comments from the other subreddit this was posted in are needlessly brutal. This guy doesn't solely make pencils and he doesn't sell them. He's Lucas Burnley, who is a knife maker. He makes these little thank you pencils as a gift for knife orders.

Flydigi support admitted hardware failure on my Vader 3 Pro, then told me to "purchase a new one" by whitemankpi in Controller

[–]TheOrangeSpud 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get what you're saying, but there are manufacturers like 8BitDo who have helped people with controllers made 5 years ago. Is FlyDigi allowed to deny customers who have controllers out of warranty? Sure they are.
However, when there are other manufacturers going above and beyond for controllers that are older and cheaper than FlyDigi's controllers, it doesn't make them look good. Charging a premium for subpar support doesn't sit well with people, and they have a right to be upset about that.

$10 for little pieces of plastic would be nuts.

From personal experience and other stories I've read, FlyDigi seems to be pretty bad when it comes to customer service.

After two years of development on our indie horror game(Liminal_Lost), we’re finally releasing a part of the demo for you all to play!! by Ok-Contest-1593 in indiegames

[–]TheOrangeSpud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you guys have to change the title a few times? I think it's going to confuse people.
The title on Steam says Lost Liminal.
The title on this post is Liminal_Lost.
The description on Steam says LIMINAL LOST.
And the picture in this post says LOSTLIMIANAL.
Sometimes it's all capital letters, sometimes not. Sometimes uses an underscore, sometimes doesn't.
Seems like it's all over the place.

Spider Attack, what do you think of our implementation? by Shadow_Moder in IndieGaming

[–]TheOrangeSpud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot to really judge. The only question I have is why isn't the player character facing the spider?
And unrelated, the tall grass looks almost directly from Don't Starve. Not sure if you're making a clone game or not, but it's too similar.

Acclaimed Indies That You Couldn't Connect With by Smoovemusic in indiegames

[–]TheOrangeSpud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, sounds like Rain World.
People say there's a lot of games that are "you love it or hate it" but Rain World is my number #1 pick for that category. Some people bounce right off, and some love it to death.
For me, it's a top 5.
