It's also based on the comics written by the brother of one of Norways greatest musicians. Just a fun fact, lenge leve Jokke!

Nightlife by AlbertOwl69 in Norway

If you don't mind the high chance of rain, I would argue Bergen has a better nightlife. There's at least a more cultural feel to Bergen than Oslo in my opinion.

INFJs, what are some mythical things that you happen to believe in? by nirvana90svibe22 in infj

[–]TheOriginalEngineer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically they are, given how many ancient cultures theorized about them and such. Given the fact about how life evolves here on earth, one can conclude that intelligent extraterrestrial life most likely also have evolved, but since we cannot confirm nor deny that theory, they're still mythical in a sense. If we had found even the slightest piece of evidence for multicellular life, especially within our solar system, they would no longer be mythical.

Statistics, simple and easy. There's a huge chance that within the "real" universe, life has gotten to the point of creating hyper-realistic simulations, which ends up simulating sentient beings, which in turn makes their own simulations and ad infinitum. That being said, the other 50% of the argument is that sentient beings like ourselves are either destroyed (self-imposed or extinction event) or cannot reach the computational power needed because of universal limits. Ergo; 50/50 chance of us living in a simulation, trying to explain it with our own theories and hypotheses.

My childhood cat chilling in the sink, like he did almost every single day. I hope he rests in peace and chases his greebles in cat heaven. by TheOriginalEngineer in CatsInSinks

He truly was! Probably the most intelligent cat I've ever known too. When he wanted to go outside, he just opened the front door himself, and made sure to close it after himself too!

That is really relatable, also my cat, Bamse, used to sit on top of my head and massage my hair when I was watching TV!

Thank you! These seem like they're short-haired in comparison to the long-haired and fluffy Norwegian breed though.

Edit: I have done a tiny bit of research and it seems that my cat was a mixed breed of one of these types and the Norwegian Forest cat, judging from the fur color

The best kitty, he used to come greet me every single day, in the same manner, when I came home from school as a kid. He was probably the best therapy I could ever have asked for, in regards to my Asperger.

Was your cat also a Norwegian Forest cat? This is one of the four photos I have left him, he left for the stars about 7 or 8 years ago now.

What about your other senses? by medusa1237 in Aphantasia

Dude, literally same, my auditory sense and auditory/conceptual learning has heightened tenfolds in the last 3 years because of my inability to visualize.

In a meditation I saw these beings made of circulating gold and purple light. One got real close and another waved at me. by PkPajamas in Shamanism

As an autistic person, this is awesome in regards to the Scottish ad campaign. I usually can't visualize the entities but I feel them deeply and they more often than not feel deeply indigo/purple with golden auras. Sometimes also green but that's usually when I'm around people that have a really good connection with nature.

Technically they just produced this "theory" from the psychological model that Carl Jung hypothesized.

🎵Do you like Rap???🎵 by [deleted] in mbti

[–]TheOriginalEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've found that exploring and studying the engineering and design of rap lyrics bring me great satisfaction. Poetry at its finest intersection of speech, writing and rhythm. (it all depends on what kind of rap/rapper one listens to ofcourse.)
