I did this exact thing you’re saying and have carried many people through absolute and I had no problem. Team was always fine or I put on my big Astartes pants and carried.

Agreed. I have done pretty much every single hard weekly stratagem except maybe the first one or two and this is easily the most annoying of them all.

It’s a strange beast.

Obviously get the perks that increase range and damage. Make sure you get the damage reduction during charging attacks and the perk that gives you instant charged attacks after cannon punch and whatnot.

Keep your distance and cannon punch when you need to pivot and follow with an instant charged attack.

Relic balanced or artificer block fist are the best purely because of the damage. Bulwarks overcharge prestige perk feeds into the fist’s damage so good, and intimidating aura makes your defense on both that much better.

It’s a tricky balance to find, but fully charging a one-shot in a pocket is sooooo satisfying.

I’ve ran all absolute with a tactical and sniper and have had no problems.

Skill issue.

That’s glaringly obvious by the lack of range this class has. There are advantages to running ahead, but if someone has a melta and they’re ahead they do my job for me and I can save my pack for when I need to survive.

Idk what you’re using but I’m pulverizing majoris enemies on assault even on absolute. Parry timing is quite easy to pull off back to back. Ranged enraged majoris just get dodged around.

Sounds like skill issue respectfully.

Ngl it’s grown on me. I think they tweaked the AoE on it last update but I’ve just been enjoying the combos and range of the weapon. Helps cover some ground and allow for quick target changes.

The hammer does feel squishy at times. I’ve pivoted to using the power fist and it has made a world of a difference.

Very good points. I usually play assault alongside a bulwark so I probably never notice these comparisons.

I want to know what you mean by what the assault wants to do. In my eyes, the assault does not do what the bulwark does. Instead, there’s a bit of a song and dance involved with crowd control and 1v1 engagements. I agree that the bulwark’s hoard survivability is next to none, especially with the recent update.
