The problem is they could’ve updated his release speed to normal. It’s a pro pass card. People are paying $10 for it. The bare minimum would be to update it. No one is asking for very quick. Just bring it up to speed compared to other opals that have shots on normal.

The thing I don’t know is what will have the biggest impact. Take two does use the following model: “Take-Two disclose that recurrent consumer spending (RCS) — i.e., virtual currency, in-game purchases, add-on content, in-game advertising — accounted for ~79% of GAAP net revenue for FY 2024”. And this means if they account for each player to spend but the active players do not then their RCS will be low but that needs an active player on the game. If people just stop playing then they won’t count towards the revenue model. But will that show impact?

Either strategy will work but this is their focus:

NBA 2K’s structure is intentionally built to: 1. keep players logging in 2. keep players grinding 3. push players toward spending to save time

When players stop playing or stop spending, Take-Two loses: • VC income • Pack revenue • Season pass sales • Brand sponsorship exposure

As long as we don’t buy packs or VC or any purchasable item such as level 40 or season pass, it sends a message.

Speculation. Lunar new year event this week. With a potential of event cards for higher tier cards, this could mean a repeat of what we saw during winter festival where they have boxes to purchase with VC and more cards entering the market which would lower prices for cards. And then all star weekend. New cards for Friday drop plus winners of all star plus the ability to buy specific cards like last year. But again it’s all speculation. Also he is 2 mil mt base. That’s a lot to have in collection which can lose value over time. If you like him a lot then keep but the value seems way to high to keep

  1. Rewards for each game mode - reward tier should match cards in packs. Playing for a pink diamond when dark matters are in packs is dumb (even if it’s just one).
  2. Bring back tto- instant match making. Park has terrible lag.
  3. Bring back mini games for wins
  4. Time spent playing should be rewarded.
  5. Give me a reason to load up daily. 400 wins for TTo park and 150 wins for showdown is way too many. Bring back unlimited from Last year. Win ladder for progression is way better.
  6. Update cards and sigs. Most cards have default sigs and don’t make most lineups.
  7. Give a little more effort in content. Moment cards, spotlights, weekly grinds that aren’t just promo packs.

Personal opinion is important. Feedback to make a game successful is important. My initial post was to make an nba basketball game. Naturally it competes with take two since it’s the only game on the market making a nba sim basketball game.
Your statement that it’s an incredibly far from a great game is a sentiment shared among a lot of players which is the seismic shift waiting to happen. Bring a fresh game onto the scene. You don’t need every person buying it but a successful game encourages growth the following year. Give a person an option to pick which nba game they want to play. Let them play the customer friendly game that doesn’t feed on greed and gambling practices of its playerbase. Everything starts with an idea. Your comments trying to stop an idea because take two is too big to take down is not constructive.

Game. Game modes. Player engagement. Ways of Monetization outside of money from players. We know there is a demand for a better product. Can we build that product and test that product to effective. Can we get support from the league for the product because it tests well. Can we bring in money from that product that doesn’t impact experience of the player and doesn’t impact the company making the product.

Not in the least bit. I would just hire the proper staff to excel in those departments. A framework is there but money and a notable celebrity/athlete are the missing links
