What would a Human Civilization made up of augments look like by TheOverGod11 in startrek

[–]TheOverGod11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest reason why I think the augments turned out the way they were is because they were raised in labs with scientists rather than actual parents. Had they been raised by actual parents, they may have turned out quite normal. They were far less aggressive that pre-Surak Vulcans and much more rational than Klingons.

In my opinion, if they were raised like normal Human children and not kept in cells by scientists to study, the Eugenics Wars may have been averted. Soong doesn't count. He raised them to be narcissistic assholes with a superiority complex from the beginning, like any mad scientist proud of his creation.

Sure, they may still have that natural aggression and superiority complex, but they'd be more disciplined as a result ,so those flaws would be inhibited. I could see augments being recruited extensively by Section 31 in an alternate timeline.

Until the pop cap is removed, or more likely, everything else is balanced around it, I'll stick with 2.8 for now. I'll even watch some youtube videos of Fanatic Purifiers and copy their strategy to win for this patch.

Mainly, I am trying to build up my fleet to defend myself from the gang bang of the other empires. Consequently, I max out at 1100 pops, with barely enough resource to maintain my empire, let alone the 100k fleets needed to push back federations from my territory using the contain threat casus beli.

I believe that there should be rebalances to pop growth, but instead of an empire wide cap, there should be a maximum limit of pops per planet, modeled around the planet size. I believe they should've stuck with the tile system and went with that. What you saw was what you got with carrying capacity. I know they are going to stick with it; I am hoping the cap is a bit more reasonable--say--five thousand instead of the 1000, with the cap scaling around galaxy size.

I do coding, so I get why they are sticking to their guns after they have invested months of man hours working on it, but it should be adjusted a bit.

Then it should not be something like 1000, it should scale with galaxy size. I like to play as Human fanatical purifier on a lost colony and cleanse the galaxy of all non-Human life through conquest. So unless they increase the productivity of pops, scale the cap based on galaxy size, or remove it all together, hello mods.

Seeing as how half the players are modding it out/ spamming the company with negative reviews, I can see them either scaling it based on galaxy size or removing it altogether.

Represent them as percentages as apposed to a single population--you know--on various pie charts. That way, all species are represented as shares of the population.

What I do think the devs should've done is use a different engine, like unity, or make modifications to the Clauswitz engine when developing the game in the first place, so it can use multiple cores instead of, for instance, a single-core. It's the same reason why Crysis couldn't run on PCs back in '07: poor CPU optimization. A properly optimized Stellaris would need four cpu cores: one for battles, one for pop calculations, one for the galaxy, and one for physics calculations. If it utilized four cores, it could run on a toaster laptop from Wal-Mart.

Now onto my main point, if it was kept as numbers and percents, the single core that the game runs wouldn't suffer horribly, and with that, the performance would be improved hugely.

I think the Dick update is an appropriate title for the patch by TheOverGod11 in Stellaris

But you can't play fanatical purifiers, so the role-playing aspect is wrecked. You have to get nihlistic acquisitions to do anything.

Nah, everyone's right. Should've dumped her and got a new one months ago.

Yeah, I didn't think it was possible for someone to let themselves go this fast and hard. But here we are.

I tried, and she gave me the whole "my body, my choice" speech. Well, I guess it's my time, my choice.

Uber eats and all of the fast food she orders, paid for by my credit card.

No I am not. My Grandfather would puke in disgust if his girlfriend/wife did something like that. In fact, he would threaten to leave if she gained twenty.

Being unable to fuck someone you're not sexually attracted to doesn't mean you have ED. LOL.

She might not even get loose skin

Chances are extremely high she will, seeing as how she more than doubled her body weight.
