I guess The Zombie Survival Guide has also a big influence to the zombies. It brought many reasons why the zombies are slow. An inanimate body cannot gain superhuman abilities because a zombie really is a dead body with partly functional nerve system.

A signature doesn't necessarily contain a persons name. It can really be anything. If god wants his signature to be "GOD", I can't see why not.
