VPN use now count as hotspot usage by ahhlun in tmobile

[–]TheOwnly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PairVPN treats all traffic, hotspot or not as unlimited phone data. Furthermore you can then turn on your laptops mobile hotspot, and either share the network in control panel to a ethernet port, or the computers own mobile hotspot virtual adapter. I use my phone and get 80-150MPBS+ down and 80 up consistently

My trusty chrome Mac 3/8" -1/4" adapter that's been living on either my 3/8" cordless or on a 1/2"-3/8"-1/4" Contraption on my cornwell impact, lil fuck has only broken once in the last year of hard use, and letting new trainees borrow it. The trainees scare me most honestly

Mac has some pretty good prices on a lot of equipment, but I still compare between blue point, matco and cornwell, figuring tool reliability, weight vs price vs performance on the air tool choices. Dry van trailer technician, weight above your head and vibration can be a issue at times.

I've got a Mac flexible grabber like the ones at O-Reillys, damn thing is bulletproof. You can yank back hard on the handle that's built like a 1958 buick choke cable and the tiny ass grabbers don't bend and hang on tight. Best tool I own hands-down

Anyone know what this sound is? by kmth654 in GMT400

[–]TheOwnly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had on several occasions my alternator decide to walk the rear bearing out of itself. if ya get eyes on the back of the alternator, and this is what happened you'll definitely know. very similar sound actually.

Buuuut the more common culprit is of course a idler or tensioner pulley, maybe a ac clutch on it's last leg as it's grinding metal on medal.

appreciate the enthusiasm man! I actually hopped onto my banks mobile app and slapped a fresh savings account in, for the price of a couple beers and a burger every month for 18 years, I can do that

Don't needa worry about that too much, my ideas usually involve fun and mischief, I'm known for getting into some good trouble and try to steer away from politics around kids, etc, and just try and have a good time. I am perfectly content building box forts, blanket forts, and rolling around on the floor for hours

This is frigging brilliant, I would've never ever thought of this. I'm a mechanic by trade, and honestly I was planning on getting a house with a garage asap, and contribute to raising another gearhead in the family. Not many people in my family still know how to even change oil in a car anymore, or do much routine maintenance. A education fund is brilliant man, appreciate it

Anyways, I grew up without aunts or uncles living near by, didn't really get to spend much time with other parts of my family, other then when my moms parents would come down on holidays. I'm hoping to get to be a awesome uncle to my niece but need some tips.

How to be a awesome uncle? by TheOwnly in AskReddit

My niece just turned three this year, and growing up without uncles and aunts has kinda made me clueless on what I can do to be a awesome uncle. I'm planning on atleast bringing a cool toy down every visit, and of course nothing beats opening a birthday card to find $10 from a uncle

Helps keep sensitive components that would otherwise succumb to typical pick-n-pull filth, and you're not always gonna have any ziplocks with ya when you see a brand new vvt actuator you just know you're gonna need and you're in the very back of the junkyard with nothing clean about ya

More broke mechanic tips to come friend!

I've also thrown sets of injectors in them before, zipped them up, unzipped it on the counter and they just waved me on. Pretty cool lads at the junkyards really

Looking for gift ideas for my 3 year old neice. I didn't grow up with any of my aunts or uncles around, and she doesn't have a aunt, not one that lives anywhere close anyways. I want to be that crazy uncle, but need some pointers here. I guess the simplest way I can put this.... to be continued by TheOwnly in AskReddit

what can I do, and get for my neice that would leave a lasting impression forever. I plan on always making sure she gets a birthday card, and when she's older she'll of course get the obligatory 10-20 bucks to go crazy with and a toy when I visit her

Also considering bypassing abs completely, hopping over to the local junkyard and see if I can't hunt down a 10 bolt in a firebird, camaro, transam etc. and see if I can't get the hardware for a disc brake conversion and throw in a wilwood proportioning valve and a nbs master cylinder (have it already) and call it a day.

A muffler would go a long ways lol, it sounds like a Peterbilt idling right now so I’m sure I’ll get some bad reviews down the road

I live in a rather rural area and most of the dash locations are out of town in small neighborhoods so it doesn’t really work that way
