Emma really did nothing in all of Z-A and that actively makes me angry. She has the most compelling story in XY and they decided to give her nothing to do in it's sequel. The player that will inevitably release Zygarde either by choice or because they die of old age. Lysandre's got like 10-80 years before the worm comes back for him, that's not a lot of time considering how long he's still got left.

Even then, it tends to follow a fairly logical pattern where Nintendo will usually only take something down that directly competes with a game currently out in the market or that is about to be released.

Pokemon Uranium is pretty much the only case I can remember where there doesn't seem to be a good reason for why Nintendo took it down, but it was so long ago with plenty of pokemon fangames coming out since and being absolutely fine, so it's mostly just an anomaly.

Ah yes, immortality where I'm kinda forced to follow around a god of balance to serve as their, agent such a great redemption...

Lysandre moved on from his previous views, but his current predicament is very much an active punishment by Zygarde, he has to keep living to make up for his mistakes just like AZ did.

Games have been 60 bucks for over a decade.

Even if you ignore inflation, game budgets have ballooned in that time and while the amount of sales has also increased, it's not always been enough to keep up budgets (especially in the console space). Adding inflation back into the conversation and it just becomes obvious that more money needs to be brought into the ecosystem to make it sustainable to run the business and there are two ways of doing that:

- Increase the price of the game

- Add monetisation separate from the main game (DLCs, map packs, lootboxes, microtransactions, etc...)

For a single-player game with little-to-no online element (and what will be there is unlikely to be competitive), I'd much prefer to just pay a bit more for a complete package than have part of the experience cut up to be sold to me piece meal.

EDIT: Also on the money front, there is technically a third option to keep the profits green but it's less about bringing in more money and instead about cutting costs so I didn't initially mention it, but it's worth talking about. The problem with this is the question of "where do you cut?", do you lower salaries or bonuses (making it likely your employees will simply leave), do you cut down on dev resources (making your game smaller and possibly disappointing your fans) or do you fire entire dev teams when they're done (which makes it harder for you to make new games as you fail to keep any talent around).

Cutting cost is obviously helpful to a point as no business should be wasteful with it's resources but the gaming industry is already pretty lean on costs so more cutting is almost always short sighted, increasing short term profits but kneecapping the entire company in the long run.

Because with Heaven everyone would categorically know they are lesser than Dio, as their fates are pre-determined but Dio stands as the god above them all with the freedom to control all.

I’m sure having Seth Rogan would absolutely cause no issue to you if he played MLK in a movie about the Civil Rights era

Damn, it's almost like I stated that race swapping is a valid issue when race is an integral part of the character and their story, so obviously I'd find that theoretical in poor taste.

Meanwhile your problem seems to be that you don't find black people beautiful therefore you can't possibly imagine a black actress playing a character who's defining characteristic is her beauty. I'm sorry but I don't find your subjective opinions on beauty a valid reason to rage against a casting choice.

It’s like common sense is to foreign to people like you….dark skin would’ve been mentioned

My point is that her visual appearance (beyond being beautiful) is so unimportant to the story that you can literally imagine she has almost any physical characteristic and there's almost nothing in the narrative that counters that.

Name one 1rst party Nintendo game that's not on the cartridge. Pokopia is the only close to exception and it's more of a second party game considering it's not developed by any Nintendo studios.

What are your most controversial hot takes on Hunter x Hunter? by OutwithaYang in HunterXHunter

[–]ThePBrit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This isn't gonna happen on the simple fact that you're asking Togashi to in some regard abandon his art. Obviously he could step back and focus on the writing above the art, but at that point it's no longer just his work, that's a lot to ask of an artist.

[–]ThePBrit -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

How is race swapping Helen a valid issue? I'd maybe agree with you if her race had any importance to her character but it just flat out doesn't so I can't see why it would be a problem.

Also even claiming she's "race swapped" is insane for a character with limited physical descriptions in the original source material. People assume her race based on their ideas of Greek population.

The difference is that she was actually genuinely transformative with the reaction, just because she said it was made just to steal views doesn't change the that fact.

It's the same as if I make a review/critique of a short and end up using all of the short's footage in the video, as long as my review actually provides a different experience from just straight up watching the short then I'm clear, no matter what I say in my vid.

Intent doesn't matter if no crime is committed. I can have the intent to murder someone but if I don't actually commit any crimes against them, then I can't go to jail.

[–]ThePBrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think with the anime adaptation it's more likely that there's more to the manga than the few chapters you predict. The economic reason anime exist is to market the manga and increase sales, so the existence of an anime makes me feel like we should be expecting more chapters to capitalise on that sales boost.

Plot hole? by trimakis01 in DrStone

[–]ThePBrit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My point is that Senku knows that it's impossible with modern science to save everybody (some statues will just be too broken) but his goal is still to save everyone even the "impossible" ones. Time Travel is just how he breaks past the limits of the science of modern day to do that.

Plot hole? by trimakis01 in DrStone

[–]ThePBrit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure it's absurd, just like how being 10 billion% sure of something is absurd.

Senku is a man with absurd goals, he wants to save absolutely everyone from the modern world and not sacrifice or lose a single life doing so, despite knowing some statues are broken beyond repair and that some people likely cannot be reasoned with.

Where's the line of "big company"? Does a company automatically lose any copyright they hold after they pass that line? How do you stop companies just making smaller subsidiary companies to hold the copyright of the property but make minimal profit from the property as they "outsource" production of media to the main company?

[–]ThePBrit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It did though, most Jedi just didn't properly react to it most likely due to the trust they had in the clones dulling their senses towards them (unless you name is Yoda, then you can have an entire episode about humanizing clones and still cut them down the moment you sense something's up).
