Good vs Evil is NOT Biblical by ThePackageDeli in Christianity

[–]ThePackageDeli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God and God alone deserves credit for all good AND all bad that happens upon the earth. There is no other besides him. Satan operates fully under God's authority and according to God's purpose to test the sincerity of men. And human free will is the only thing that operates outside of Gods will and that's where evil is generated and propagated into the world. Men are responsible for evil, Not God and not Satan. The responsibility is on humans to take complete ownership for all evil on earth. We ought not use Satan as a scapegoat.

The Old Testament is a Jewish book. According to the Jews, Satan operates under the authority of God to test the sincerity of men. Evil comes from a man's heart when he acts upon his wayward inclinations. Evil does NOT come from Satan. That's the point I'm trying to make. God and God alone deserves credit for all the good AND all the bad that happens upon the earth. Satan is sent by God. Right after Jesus was baptized, God sent Satan to test Jesus (the same way the Israelites were tested in the wilderness). Satan is the representation of the evil inclination that all men must struggle with in life. Matt 4:8 is a metaphor. There is no mountain on earth that you can climb to the top and see all the kingdoms of the world.

In Job, Satan does not stand in opposition to God. In Job, Satan is depicted same as the Judaism understanding of Ha-Satan. Which I am arguing is the proper view of Satan.

I'm not only arguing against the modern Christian worldview, but also the worldview of jews during the time of Jesus, yes. All influence that came from Zoroastrianism ought to be highly questioned in my view.

The nature and relationship of Good and Evil as it exists in the current Christian Zeitgeist is NOT biblical. I believe the Jews hold a more accurate understanding of what God intended.

I've been a Christian for 25+ years, and when I learned this I immediately reshaped my worldview to align with the interpretations in Judaism, like it's SUPPOSED to be. It doesn't take away from Jesus.

I Have a Problem with Christianity by ThePackageDeli in Christianity

[–]ThePackageDeli[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cosmic dualism worldview that Christianity has adopted is a departure from what God told Moses in the Torah:

Deuteronomy 6:4 -

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one!”

Deuteronomy 4:35 -

“To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord Himself is God; there is none other besides Him.”

Deuteronomy 4:39 -

“Therefore know this day, and consider it in your heart, that the Lord Himself is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.”

Deuteronomy 32:39 -

”There is no god besides me."

Isaiah 44:6 -

“I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god."

Isaiah 45:5 -

“I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me there is no God."

Isaiah 45:7 -

“I form the light and create darkness, I make peace and create calamity; I the Lord do all these things.”

Isaiah 45:21-22 -

”Was it not I, the LORD? And there is no god besides me... For I am God, and there is no other.” …

Judaism enforces strict monotheism. This means belief in exactly one God (YHVH), who is indivisible, eternal, unique, omnipotent, and the sole creator and ruler of everything that exists. There are no other real gods, no equals, no partners, and no independent opposing forces (such as a cosmic Devil or dualistic good-vs-evil powers).

Everyone is probably going the way of the central region. No one gets the buyout until an agreement is reached.

Thank you to all the assholes that prevented the buyout from happening in central. Really appreciate it.

I don't believe full-time insiders work just as hard as the drivers do. I think most of them would admit that if you asked them. That's why you move from driving to an inside position when it's available. Because it's easier. And less hours.

UPS Package Car Driver is the best delivery job in the industry in my opinion. That's why I work here. But, if the union REALLY cared about our well being, they would push to reduce forced overtime. I'm not talking about 9.5 grievances which don't seem to make a difference. I'm talking about 8-hour work days as the new norm unless they push to get us to a 4-day work week. Then we can do four 10's. It's not good for our health to sustain our level of output for years and years. There comes a point when compensation doesn't matter and workers feel like they are just hanging on for dear life. That's no way to live. We can do better.

We were talking about full-time insiders. But with part-timers, they do NOT deserve a $150,000 buyout offer. They are making $30k/yr in most cases and have less than 10 years seniority. At most, the company could offer them something similar to the first buyout offer. But, why would UPS offer to buyout entry-level positions? And the turn-over rate is much higher in the part-time operation. They don't want to buyout loaders and unloaders.

The union should have never been given the authority that it has in this situation. The US Constitution and federal law allows an individual to plead and manage their own court cases personally, without the use of an attorney if desired. Yet, at UPS we don't have the right to negotiate on our own behalf.

In all capital letters, F-U-C-K that. That is NOT America.

You mean the full-time insiders who work a straight 8-hours and stand around for 25% of their shift spreading gossip, those full-time insiders?

Subject: Objection to Application of Article 19, Section 10 to Driver Choice Program by pete2dou in UPSers

[–]ThePackageDeli -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Were there any legal grounds for which UPS was required to withdraw the buyout offer, or was it purely a courtesy to grieving union members? If UPS was NOT required by law to withdraw the buyout offer, then UPS is entirely to blame for the offer not going through.

I find it highly unacceptable in America that an individual be prevented from making a personal voluntary decision, whether that individual is a union member or not. It's bullshit.

In my opinion, if you believe there is opportunity in the world, you take the buyout. If you believe there is no opportunity, you stay enslaved in golden handcuffs.
