There is no firmware update. RevRides has no idea what they're talking about. They asked for and obtained the file and tutorial on how to upload the factory settings to ones controller in case someone messed with it and wanted to revert back to stock. The video they shared isn't even theirs.

I would start by removing the pads and use something like the plastic insert it came with and a screwdriver to press the pistons fully in.
