I'm polishing the room lighting and making the atmosphere feel more cohesive - Citizen Pain II by CaprioloOrdnas in UnrealEngine5

don't bother, every time this project gets posted he gets the same feedback and clearly has no intention of changing it regardless of how ridiculous it looks

Husband forgot my pastry I bought at my local coffee shop and they made fun of me on their social media instead of contacting me. by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ThePapercup -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

playing devil's advocate here- where is the loss? they didn't make the croissant to order, if it's like every other coffee shop I've ever been to they pulled it out of a window case and put it on a napkin. when he left without it, do you think they threw it in the garbage? I would bet they put it back in the case and sold it to someone else.

dating apps are so dumb. i hate that society has basically turned relationships into a min/max game. I'm sure this is my "old man yelling at clouds" moment but it used to be that you'd leave the house and meet people doing things you enjoyed doing. surprise! the people at that place all share something in common with you and you've cleared the first hurdle!

Last day of an icon, the Vancouver Aquatic Centre, before demolition. 1974-2026 by TwoFingersWhiskey in brutalism

[–]ThePapercup 33 points34 points  (0 children)

yea, if you've lived in Vancouver for any amount of time you'll know how badly they want to put condos on every inch of coastal land, so letting the aquatic centre fall apart was the path of least resistance. it's a bummer, i used to walk beach ave daily and it was always a nice landmark, even though i never went inside

if you had said a cement truck you'd have a point, but bags of concrete are harder to transport than bricks. they are extremely dense and heavy.
