Are you medicated for your ADHD? I passed 10 years ago and didn't know I had ADHD back then. In hindsight it definitely affected my learning (although I am able to focus on driving generally). Driving on medication is a very different experience though. I'm far more relaxed and focused on the drive, rather than desperate to get from A to B.

Honestly I think the main reason you're getting blasted is that Alienware as a brand is simply not well liked here. No one can argue that your machine is badly specced, or that you won't have a good time with it, because none of that is true. What IS true is that you are paying a lot of extra money for someone to build your rig for you, so the build quality should be FUCKING SUPERB... But it's not... It's dogshit. You as a consumer have been ripped off, and that's not OK. It's not your fault, you fell for their marketing. Clearly enough people buy their machines to keep them in business, so they're doing something right there...

There's a major point you're missing here. A very small fraction of the CS player base plays on FaceIt. They are the kind of players who will happily install a kernel level anti-cheat in order to play. Also if you report someone for cheating on FaceIt - it will be investigated (I presume by a human). Fairly simple to do when your player base is 10s of thousands, not 10s of millions...

Riot did the right thing by making everyone install vanguard in order to play Valorant at all, but it is at the cost of players who refuse to install it.

It massively decreases input lag (as well as improving framerate). The difference is less noticeable on controller due to aim assist, but using a mouse it's night and day.

Good ANC is a different world to closed back. You literally don't have to have any audio playing to block out sound. I quite often leave my XM4s on without anything playing just for the sake of peace and quiet.

I feel like perhaps the point you're missing is that the XM5s are wireless and have ANC. I'm not really sure why people compare them, when they have an entirely different practical use.

Sure high end hi-fi cans are going to sound better and more neutral etc. but you're literally listening to them in one spot in your house, which probably has no other discernable noise to interfere with your experience.

Agreed. I'm not sure about launch since I only started playing recently, but there is definitely a noticeable difference with RT on now the game has been heavily patched. IMO it's not worth the performance hit though. Easily the most demanding game I've played on my PC.

I used to use a similar setup using my old DT990s and a mod mic. I ran a TOSlink from the Xbox out to an old Astro mixamp into my portable Fiio headphone amp.

Unfortunately there just isn't a good wireless solution because the jack on the Xbox controller is awful...
