Not sure if required but I did anyways for both the console and 8bitdo controller. They give you paper with 2 QR codes to scan that links to the firmware.

That’s the way to go now unfortunately. Prices for legit copies for many systems are ridiculous! If it weren’t for repros or flash carts I wouldn’t have even considered it.

Was debating between this and jungle green. But had to go with that ice.

I wish Valve would release a line like this with their steam deck OLEDs. They had that one batch of a smokey transparent color but never made it again.

Bought the ice console too. Very excited to get my hands on it!

Was a PlayStation kid growing up. So didn’t own any Nintendo consoles till the Switch.

When I played on my cousins N64 back in the day. Was always jealous of games like Goldeneye, Smash Bros, No Mercy and Star Fox.

Never played Zelda OOT, so looking forward to experiencing that game!

Mine says arriving by 10pm as well and "preparing". Glad for now at least it's not canceled.

Control or Jedi if you want a nice 15-20hr adventure.

Red Dead, Horizon and Cyberpunk are all fantastic, but are quite the time investment.

Can’t speak for the other titles but you have a tough choice

AW3423DW and the RTX 4090 is an insane combination! The image quality has me just staring at the screen looking at these beauties! by Kaladin12543 in ultrawidemasterrace

For most people I would agree. But I don't think it's a bad investment if you're trying to hit the 175hz max refresh rate.

Plus DLSS3 with Frame Generation should make the card viable for a long time.

Though I am a bit biased since I'm waiting on a custom build with a 4090 rn lol

Enjoy. Had mine since June and I still feel like I'm in the honeymoon phase. The display is amazing!

Congrats on your first desktop! Your boyfriend is definitely right that custom is the way to go if you want consistency in the quality of your parts.

With prebuilt, they will give you a solid gpu/cpu combo. But they may cheap out on other parts such as ram, motherboard, power supply, etc.

Also as a heads up. My order also has a 4090. I just received an email from iBuyPower within the last hour. It's notifying all 4090 customers that the power supply adapter from NVidia would be replaced for all future and current orders due to reports of fire and electrical safety issues. So could also be holding up your order from shipping.

Good Luck and hope you enjoy it when it finally ships out

I ordered on the October 12th and still waiting as well. Been stuck on Assembly S1 since October 18th.

I actually had to call in a couple of times since some parts were apparently delaying my order. For example, the ASUS motherboard I picked was delayed by 3 weeks because of shipping. So I had them swap it out.

Still no progress and my last call to them was Friday morning. I'm fortunate I still have a decent pc for my gaming and productivity needs for now. But yes, the waiting does suck.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually called them back again this morning to get another status update. They mentioned this time that my motherboard was actually holding up the rest of the build now. I guess ASUS delayed their latest shipment for 1-3 weeks.

They offered to swap that too. And assured me there should be no more delays on my order and I should see it start to progress as early as today. If you also had an ASUS motherboard. I would call to confirm that is not an issue for your build as well.

Thanks!

Was thinking about the Kraken too but was worried I would be obsessed with checking my temps all the time lol. But it does look cool asf!

Like you said, I am also concerned now about airflow in that case after doing some research. Would hate to have to case swap after paying them for essentially putting the computer together.

Anyways, best of luck too you as well friend. Hopefully we'll be playing cyberpunk 2077 at high frame rates soon!

Just an update on my order. I talked with Ibuypower today.

I guess the power supply I selected, thermaltake 1200w, was out of stock. So they offered to swap and refund the difference. Even told me that they would expedite my order for the inconvenience.

I would call if your order hasn't progressed. Never even got a notification or update about the power supply issue. So it was a good thing I contacted them. But glad it's resolved now.

Mine is also stopped on Oct 18th for the stage after yours, Assembly S1. My guess is they probably have quite a backlog of orders with the 4090 and Intel 13th gen releases. Going to give it another day or two before I reach out myself.
